My music taste is very mixed tbh, I like pop like Lady GaGa, Katy Perry, Pixie Lott etc..
I like bands such as The Pretty reckless, Paramore, All Time Low.
I like Grime too, Dizzee Rascal, Chipmunk, Tinie Tempah..
I also listen to obscure music genres such as Wrock and Trock which is music abour Harry Potter and Dr Who.
I listen to different languages too, like Japanese and Croatian.
Also Eminem, Cee Lo Green, Jason Derulo, MIA, Florence & The Machine, Ke$ha, Owl City, Mumford and Sons, Lena Meyer-Landrut, Ellie Goulding and so much more.

I love all of the music I listen to, Idc if other people think it's bad.

I like all sorts of genres, idk if it's "good" or "bad" to you.

Some of the musicians I like are:

Hard rock - New A7X, Bon Jovi
Classic rock - ACDC, GnR, Elvis Presley
Funk rock - RHCP
Indie rock - Kasabian, some Kaiser Chief, some Arctic Monkeys
Alternative rock - Keane
Pop/emo rock - 30STM, some MCR
Heavy metal - Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Black Label Society etc
Thrash metal - Metallica, Overkill, Exodus, Megadeth, some Anthrax, some Slayer
Progressive metal - Dream Theater
Groove metal - new Pantera, Lamb of God
Cello metal - Apocalyptica
Goblin metal - Pinkly Smooth
Death metal - Death, Amon Amarth
Nu metal - old Linkin Park, Slipknot, System of a Down
Black metal - Cradle of Filth
Glam metal - early Pantera
Pirate metal - Alestorm
Metalcore - early A7X, early BFMV (they suck now), Killswitch Engage, Trivium etc
Punk - Misfits, Blink 182, Sum 41, Green Day
Pop - Michael Jackson
Country - Toby Keith, Johnny Cash
Rap - Eminem, Immortal Technique, Tupac
Classical - Don't have certain favourite composers, I like a lot of classical I hear, even in films such as Star Wars for example
Reggae - Bob Marley
Dance/Techno - Supermode, Robert Miles, David Guetta, Bob Sinclar
D&B - some Pendulum
Hip Hop/R&B - Outkast, Black Eyed Peas
Soul - Gnarls Barkley
Blues - Jimi Hendrix
Jazz - Like classical, I've heard a lot of Jazz stuff but don't know the composers

Please respect my opinion and not start random arguments, thanks.

Most people on here like random bands like those emo/scene/goth whatever the ****** they are that perform at random festivals for free.

I'm proud to say I like bands that actually have a few good albums.

I don't like any emo/scene/goth bands if you're including me.

The only "emo" bands I like are MCR and 30STM, and they only have a few good songs. :P

I just like bands that sound good, not because of how they look etc, and most of the bands that sound good to me happen to be metal. xD

Damn right he is.
And dunno, his music has reggae touch to it, but I guess it could also be classed as dance/techno in some ways.

I don't think I have a crap taste in music. In my group of friends everyone else bar me has a very defined musical taste. I'm like the only only one who could say "oh I like that song" to my mate who only listen to rock, then go over to my other friend who only likes pop trash and say "yeah I love that band too".

Anyhow I think I'm the only one who likes more alternative bands. *sigh*

But this lot are who I've been listening too atm: Lady Gaga (my fave ), 30 Seconds To Mars, Katy Perry, Duck Sauce, Florence + The Machine, Bon Jovi, Queen, Journey, Tommy Sparks, Britney Spears (mainly her old stuff though like her album Britney), Paramore and Hurts.

I think thats a pretty damn diverse and decent musical taste lol!

I like from Elgar through all the decades of music and most singers of those times on to the great OASIS, now people like Killers, Mika,Script etc also are popular with me, I am always open to discovering new singers I haven't listened to like Stacey.X getting me to like Taylor Swift.

I have explored on CD all the old decades of music and to me it seems there has been good and bad music in all decades but music often is a personal thing, many songs capture times in your life, happy and sad ones and also places and people too.

What I like is really great music to me, what others like may not be seen as great music by me but it doesn't mean it is bad. Its just different tastes and some have limited tastes in music, some have a fair wide ranging taste in music, some can have tastes in music that cover all genres of music.

I really love OASIS, my favourite group, but I have friends who can't stand them.

I think there is no shame in being honest and criticising the piles and piles of crap out there (that would be... most popular music), but it's also good manners not to insult people's taste in music either as it's a very personal thing for a lot of people.

It's okay to like cheap, disposable pop in a sort of trivial manner. That's cool. What's NOT cool is actually following it obsessively, giving it merit that doesn't exist and automatically eating up every type of that crap that comes your way. Some people follow JUST pop and get way too into idolizing mundane, talentless personalities.

What the **** are you talking about? How exactly does a festival or band become 'random'? When you have zero knowledge of it? Bands are payed rich sums of money to play festivals, except in special cases.

Idiot.

Music is a matter of opinion? I love my music taste, if I didn't, I wouldn't listen! Same goes for everybody else.

I love McFly, The Saturdays, Peter Andre, Sam Clark, One Direction, Justin Bieber, Take That, Room Service, Olly Murs, etc!

I like to think my music taste is a mix of what people consider good and bad. My itunes literally goes from Aaron Copland to 50 Cent.

Music is a personal thing and thankfully everyone has different tastes. I don't think anyone has a right to classify somebody's taste in music as crap... Each to their own and all that

But yeah when it comes to X Factor, there is no opinion, it's a fact that it's crap.
except Alexandra, she has some good songs out but shes still well and truly consigned to the guilty pleasures folder

I have loads of music in my itunes ranging from Linkin Park to Girls Aloud to Eminem and everything inbetween. Its good to have a good range I think
