Of course it is, but its the pretence that they are? (which is then carried out really badly ) doesn't bother me or I'm pretty sure most of the audience that they aren't.

No its not trivial because they have gone to alot of effort to pretend that they are, (ie, Emma saying they will be tethered 24/7, the extensions for showering and the toilet, the 10 minute window to get their PJs on) but then let themselves down in the details by showing a clip of them in bed without the cuffs, why not just be honest and say they wont be wearing them in bed, nobody cares that they aren't wearing them

They emphasised it for dramatic effect, 16/7 doesn't sound as great as 24/7, if I got wound up every time something turned out to be different from how it was advertised I'd be constantly pissed off what's the benefit in having them handcuffed while they're asleep?

I think that's always been part of the charm of Big Brother though, it's not some glossy Hollywood-esque production, it's always felt like an amateur production done really well but there are always little errors and bad edits here and there. There will always be people who will believe what they are told by the media and either don't notice when the reality is different or get pedantic about it because they felt misled. At any rate I don't really see it as a big deal, they'll be handcuffed for all the good bits of the day, I'm sure it'll result in hilarity.

Not that I think it's a bad thing infact I know I would be going mental having to be handcuffed to someone I barely knew all night in bed.

They do still technically 'sleep with eachother'. Since they're in pairs they have no choice but to share the same bed. Still leaves them with no choice but to stay together. As for the being able to separate for certain things, they are still within close proximity with eachother. They are technically together 24/7. It's not really '16/7' - unless it takes you 8 hours to go to the toilet 6 times a day, have a shower and talk to BB once or twice.

This just seems to total nitpicking. Just enjoy the show!

8 hours of sleep a night; but they're still more or less doing everything together so that covers the whole point of the handcuffing right? Agreed, just enjoy the show!

Who said anything about not enjoying the show the point being made is they seem to think viewers are a bit on the thick side, that is all, as I stated before it is a show for adults, there is no need to try and soft soap things for adult viewing or try to insult intelligence! Just be honest about what is happening and what most definately is not!
