I kind of wish I could excuse someone's behaviour that easily because he's naturally very funny, he is however also ver cruel too and he's said himself in the diary room that his behaviour is on purpose because it's his only source of entertainment..

For lack of a better word, a person who uses cruel behaviour for their own entertainment is a bully.

There are many kinds of bully, not just outwardly aggressive ones who intimidate people, there's such thing as verbal bullying,

I completely agree, the word 'bully' has become almost taboo on forums for some reason but I don't really know why, bullies aren't that uncommon.

If I saw a child use the exact same behaviour in a playground, I would use the same word to define their behaviour. Just because he's an adult and he should know better, it doesn't change anything really. To me anyway.

He wasn't being nasty tho just has a foul mouth who likes to banter. He hasn't got a problem with anyone or dislike anyone. He likes Sam the most out of the house. He's clearly not a bully. Just another excuse to hate the guy.

..I'm still not sure about the bully word but maybe...bullies do because they can, they get the reaction they want and it's irrelevant what anyone is 'deep down' or how 'misunderstood' they are ..that doesn't have any bearing over their actions at all...

Yeah I don't see him as a bully at all. Vulgar yes, inappropriate yes, annoying to live with probably but he's not really picking on people I don't think. What is interesting is how quickly the issue himself and Jade had fizzled out. I do think she probably "gets him" a bit more than the others

No she wasn't in that, from what I can gather she just knows him from around the "social circuit" of Dublin and it sounded like her ex knew him better and he didn't like him so it could be that she just had an idea that she didn't like him because of what her ex would tell her? That's just my speculation but it sounds like that, she said she only ever met him twice

I was shocked to see him and jade getting along tbh both having fun and i thought she didn't like him. But tbh i think the house loves him(except harry) but don't like his language like joel he praised marc in the diary room.

...hmmm I'm not even sure that it's misogyny, he may do things differently with males/females but he's still trying to be dominant over everyone, which he sometimes does with playfighting/wrestling etc...obviously he can't so much do that with the smaller..(physically built) guys so he just insults them to put them down...

It may explain some of his behaviour. Particularly if hes been some where like Aghanistan, and witnessed God nows what, wouldnt go so far as to call it post traumatic stress, but its a well known fact that many ex military often develop alcohol/drug problems once they leave.
Even without that army training alone does affect character (I should know I have had a number of military men in my family) His marked reluctance to let anyone get to close, (his diary room chat last night) is a typical example of what would be classed as weakness in the armed forces. Also his "His live for today, because tomorrow you might be dead" attitude is typical. (a quick well done to Joel for his role in bringing that attitude up with him, plus his diary room thoughts on Marc)
Whatever the issues with him I think hes one of the most interesting characters
that BB has had in years. In spite of his demons (he certainly has a few of those) I still like him

Well said Suzie...I agree, Marc has some issues, preferring not to be liked by the other housemates and concerned that he is growing to like some of them, shows some underlying emotions. I like him though...

Marc says equally as bad if not worse comments and it's ok as it's 'banter'? no, sorry that doesn't wash.

She's told him time and time again not to speak to her like that, banter is a laugh between friends with the same sense of humour...therefore this isn't banter.
