Remembering Kerry
|
I am a Monarchist and have respect for them and the attention that is positive they bring to the UK.
However, they 'do not' have to do it,they could give it up and not bother. I would hate the more organised schedule they get but I am sure if the Monarch fancied a break day,it would be made so. If an ordinary individual gets a bad cough or cold, they are expected to get on with things and work too,a Royal would get a Doctors visit and a fair fuss made. Also the Queen could easily, and is doing, delegate duties to others,as could Prince Philip too. I think they actually love the status and life they have which is why they eagerly hold onto it. For me however one of the best things about the present make up of the UK,is the Monarchy it has. |

A cough and a cold at their advanced age can be pretty serious and I'm sure a doctor would visit any person if that age if requested. With their engagements planned in as advance as they are the queen can hardly wake up and think she'll have a break day today... I'm in no way a royalist in any shape or form but think they carry out their duties amazingly for their years.
