GIFS can be funny or relevant. The majority of them aren't though and the GIF spam this series is ****ing ridiculous tbh. Most add nothing at all to the conversation except baiting and slowing down the thread

I could never turn them off though because I am too nosey

My computer freezes sometimes with the amount of gifs used on here, and its a gaming computer with a huge memory and that

laptop can manage them pretty well but its still annoying to have so many, especially when people put like 20 ion the OP of a thread

This is what I mean Vicky,my laptop can handle a normal amount,but so many this year was struggle,must admit it makes a difference.

To be fair they are annoying if you're browsing the forum on mobile data.

They're annoying if they're overused (which is what usually happens), but I'd never turn them off because I'm also too nosy

My internet runs slow anyway, but I'm pretty sure that's down to the service provider and the fact so many people are using it for various things.

I agree.

Kaz showed me how to do it yesterday and it's so much better. If I wanted to look at idiotic people twerking etc, i'd go on you-tube and watch Nicki Minaj or Miley bloody Cyrus.

Not to be cheeky or anything but TiBB loads really quickly on my phone, even if the page has a lot of gifs. So if your laptop/computer can't handle a few gifs then maybe it's time to upgrade.

I don't live in the middle of nowhere, am right next to a big city yet our council are crap and won't give permission for any company to lay fibre. As such, best speed we can get here is ****ing 2-3mb

Of course , I do have a brain , lol , I cant see mine either but worth it not to have to trawl through the dross sometimes posted on here, as I said it's ok when the signature gifs are on it's the spamming of them all that my laptop doesn't like.

I don't want or need to upgrade ,it handles normal stuff fine,but on Tibb when loads are posted at once,it slows down,I don't use my phone for Tibb, gifs aren't that important to me so sensible thing was to switch them off.

My husband downloads a lot, takes maybe a minute to download a 5 min youtube song with video. Its not too bad but I have never actually had anything to compare it with
