D you know - the odd thing is - before this change, carrier bags WERE biogredable by 60 years they would become organic non harmful to environment substence - NOW they aren't ever bio degradable - which means they will effectively be in landfill for ever.....

Wasnt such a good idea after all - Why the bags should stlll be biodegradable and still cost 5p!!

Those biodegradable bags burst wide open as soon as you put anything heavier that a can of cola in them though. Useless. You'd be better just filling your pockets.

I remember tesco using starch bags once, they began to crumble before you got home :/ I use my own bags now.

Use our own if it's a big shop, I'll usually buy a bag if I've gone on my own for a few bits though
