Default Do you pay 5/10p for shopping bags when you do your shopping?

Surprised at how many people I see pushing their trolleys full of shopping to their car and putting it all in the boot/on the seats without bags, wonder if Josy is one of those people

Whenever I pay 5/10p for bags it doesn't tend to be many bags that I'm needing to buy so I don't mind. But whenever my Dad does the weekly shop he'll use his own bags mainly.

I always forget to take them so buy them. Always. I have a huge cupboard full of bags too. Very annoying but I have the short term memory of a goldfish

I like the big posh 35p (Asda) / 50p (Tesco) ones . The ones with the fabric handles. Hold like 3 or 4x as much as a regular plastic bag. You can keep your filfy 5p bagses .

The cashier gets commission for that on top of their zero-hour-minimum-wage-contract (I think) so you're probably loved by a few strangers

I like to show off to the till girls

"do you want a bag, its 5p" and Im like "che, of course"

at the same time I am saying that am a maverick who lives life on the edge and am too spontaneous to think about carrying a bag in my pocket and also that money is irrelevant in my life as i have so much i can buy a new bag every time.

The chicks dig this the most

I get my shopping delivered. Without bags.
Much easier for hubby to see what's what when sorting it out to put away.
You still get some stuff in either little brown carrier bags, or plastic pink for fridge, blue for freezer.
If out and about shopping we normally have a couple of lightweight fold up bags with us.

I have those green bags but I'd have no problem paying. It's only an extra 10p/15p at the end of the day.

Can't speak for other supermarkets but the one I work in gives the cash from bags to charity. Asdas btw.

"Do you need a bag? It's 5p."

"Yeah please... WAIT... I'll take a 10p one . But what are these under here? 35p you say? Well you can't put a price on quality..."

I'm always buying bags, Tesco at the start where selling a really good multi use bag for 50 and I would buy these, then they disappeared and only 150 to two pound bags are available.

I refuse to pay for a bag so I always take my own. If I forget then I go to some place where a guy is always willing to give me free bags.

D you know - the odd thing is - before this change, carrier bags WERE biogredable by 60 years they would become organic non harmful to environment substence - NOW they aren't ever bio degradable - which means they will effectively be in landfill for ever.....

Wasnt such a good idea after all - Why the bags should stlll be biodegradable and still cost 5p!!

Those biodegradable bags burst wide open as soon as you put anything heavier that a can of cola in them though. Useless. You'd be better just filling your pockets.
