Be British or be German? I'd vote for being British, again.

childish naivety he likes the pomp bc he is vain and he is awkward around royalty bc he has the mentality of an uncouth upstart, very much like Dubya Bush that doesn't translate into politics like it didn't translate with Dubya when he made Blair his bitch |

Hitler will be looking down on Merkel with envy, thinking, "I can't believe all I had to do was sell them cars"

Alf, I'm sorry, I didn't realize you wanted your posts to go unanswered.

Josy has put me on a final warning and threatened me with a lengthy ban. So as much as I'd like to have a troll contest with you, I can't do it. |

I don't want you to get banned so if my posts may make you say bannable things I will stop. Though I think it will do BOTH of us a bit of good if we managed to discuss within the forum rules. It's worth a try? But maybe another time if you don't feel like it. |

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I know the overturning of the first referendum would (fairly) cause outrage but I don't see why it's being treated as some holy grail of democracy when the process of election promises failing to be delivered upon has been... a thing forever? Especially when the margin was so negligible and the funding/information on the campaigns from both sides are under such scrutiny. I just think opportunist politicians are exploiting this vague idea of "democracy" to hammer through Brexit without much consideration for the economic damage it'll do. And if indeed a second referendum were to come in with a "Remain" victory (which I personally think is unlikely, even with the recent MEP party splits being *technically* in favour of Remain but just split across the three or four smaller parties) I don't know why this concept of a "furious backlash" would be any different to the already furious backlash against the concept of Brexit from the current Remain side. Obviously a time machine would be ideal for Cameron to either: word the referendum accurately or plan some sort of deal prior to even putting it to the public, but... hey ho.

Let's quote farage: with 52/48 result the issue would be far from closed
Or David Davis: theres something wrong with democracy if a referendum result cannot be contested |
