also what about the slim people who gain diabetes from to much sugar should they be treated? Or is it only fat people that should be banned

I’m actually quite happy I can get my junk food fix for a bit cheaper now
![]() Not all families can afford to buy healthy foods and personally this is something I think that the government could’ve addressed here to help businesses as well.

Normally in a week we will get all of our cupboard and frozen produce from Aldi or Lidl and get all of our fresh produce and luxuries from Morrison’s or Asda. Last edited by Morgan.; 29-07-2020 at 01:22 PM. |

I get this kinda but I do think there’re other things that come into it as well. A lot of families especially low income families need to make their shopping last a considerable amount of time. A carton of Tropicana is around £2.30 and that’s barely gonna last a couple days for a family whereas for the same price you could buy a couple of bottles of cola or Robinson’s or something and it will go further.

The reality of the cheaper prices at the bargain basement supermarkets is unfortunately that it is of lesser quality. Meat is the worst offender, though. |

i never promote junkfood anyway, since it literally does its name justice, for being literal junk
worst thing for you out of all foods

...I think the worst thing for you out of all foods is no food..?...no income/no food ...I know that’s an extreme but these businesses are struggling and if they don’t succeed then it’ll just add to those having no jobs and will struggle in buying any food...junk/or no junk...Obviously certain foods included in the scheme are by far not ideal in terms of health ...but nothing about the world atm is ideal and I think it’s just one step at a time...there has been many weeks when people haven’t been able to have these things...so hopefully they’ll be more ‘treats’ than a complete lifestyle, going forward...

It’s only going to last for 12 days so I doubt people are going to double their size in that time, it’s more about getting people confident to eat out rather than encouraging over eating as you have to eat in to avail I believe

fair enough Ammi, also i personally rarely order food from any of those, only time is when we are on holiday and we don't like to cook ourselves
not that i do not eat ''junkfood'' but when we have fries we do bake them ourselves, now we are more onto frozen foods, due to bad potato quality overall if potato quality is good, homemade fries of course

but ok if businesses are struggling then lowering your prices is a smart move, what i said earlier i didn't mean (i am myself all caught up into the ''anti-fastfood'' mindset) but of course hope they manage to survive so those people can keep their jobs
