I read she got a text to her phone saying this is the last time you will see you son alive, some horrible people out there who just thrive on other peoples misery, I can understand she is holding onto hope, but it is more likely he has just made a bad decision and the outcome is tragic

I'm not being flippant, but it looks like he did a Michael Mosley.

Only 1% battery on his phone (Mosley had no phone), in a scorching heat. No water. Never been hiking in a remote area before. Totally lost.

He got in a car with 2 strangers Sunday night and then they drove him 40 mins to some gaff and then he posts a pic at 7.30am at the placeof an out-of-focus image of a hand holding a cigarettes. 2 hours later he is walking back and goes off the grid?

why would they not give him a lift back unless something bad happened and he wanted to get away

Because he was probably high as a kite at some random's afters. Realised the sun was rising and the comedown was kicking in so wanted to get to bed

If he owed some random drug dealers a lot of money then sure a kidnapping. A kidnapping to the bottom of the sea.

Drugs world is not our world - people "go missing" like this all the time, this has only gotten so much press attention because it was a British boy in a popular holiday destination for British boys. I honestly think it's either elaborate fraud attempt (if he turns up), or he's got in over his head with some very unpleasant people and they've disappeared. If it's the latter he won't be found, will be a "missing presumed dead" cold case forever.

I do feel for his parents however, it's still a horrendous thing for anyone to go through, even if the cause turns out to be his own bad decisions & misadventures.
