at this point it would be worth remembering the novels that Vicky has/had a habit of posting that well worth a read . The whole point about debate is that it can have many sides that need exploring and most things don't tend to be black and white

I've also always maintained that if TiBB wants to enforce a proper debates section where people debate in good faith without the insults then I'd very much like to use that, and would absolutely stick to those rules.

It's never happened.

Tbf you are one of the few members on here who constantly insults other members by calling them thick, dumb, stupid etc because they dont align with your world view, I dont see anyone retaliating in a similar vein...so not sure you have a leg to stand on that one!

And the whole splitting hairs between “I’m not a primary-school teacher” and the natural inference (‘go back to primary-school) is a prime example, like i said, of whar I’m talking about. You’re so deep into your continual style of being pedantic and contentious that you can’t even see it. I don’t know whether to laugh at this point or still just be annoyed.

I'm not saying I engage properly on this forum - I'm quite clearly saying that IF TiBB ever decides it wants to properly create a section where that's the rules/etiquette then I'd happily engage with it and stick to that, but it's not what we've got, and I'm not here to set an example. We have a forum full of people trolling and playing dumb 3/4 of the time. That's just me calling it as I see it. Why would I not respond in kind, when the staff have no intention of stopping any of that? I've tried multiple times to engage the staff on the trolling, gaslightling and nonsense rightwing propaganda that's completely infested this forum but James has made it abundantly clear that he's not interested. Show me a good forum or even a good thread and I'll engage with it like it's a good thread, show me trash and I'll fire back some trash.

Yeah I get that but it still does not have to involve personal comments about members, their relationships, or how they use their personal downtime
