Katie Price was given a six-month driving ban yesterday after she was clocked speeding at 83mph in her Land Rover.

The former glamour model, formerly known as Jordan, was fined £1,000 and given three penalty points after she admitted breaking a 70mph limit on the A23 in Pyecombe, Sussex on December 10 last year.

This took her over the 12-point limit and brought an automatic six-month driving ban which will leave her family life in chaos.

Handing down the penalty in her absence at Crawley Magistrates Court, Deputy District Judge Ken Goldspring said: 'That makes her a ‘totter’.

'She’s received 12 or more points and so as of today she is banned from driving for six months.'

It's about time that Jordan was taken off the road, but what's the betting that she'll get caught breaking the driving laws again while banned ?

The model got a taste of a running engine today, though, when she took delivery of a brand new scooter.

The customised 125cc vehicle is suitable painted a candy pink, and has Price's equestrian logo on the side.

Workmen turned up at the 32-year-old's Surrey home today to hand over the scooter, which retails for around £849.

Of course, Katie will be unable to take her new wheels for a spin outside of her estate until after her driving ban is lifted in June.

So she'll have to stick to the vast expanse of her Surrey home until that day comes.

Katie's spokesman confirmed that the model has no plans to take the vehicle out on the open road until she is legally able.
