I know what you mean though, no reason people shouldn't talk about it, on the other hand, no reason people shouldn't get bored with it.

I have grown kids and I can only stand conversations about other peoples kids for about 5 minutes tops, it's not interesting whether or not people pretend it is.

I am dreading the day my son decides he's to big for a cuddle. My mum wasn't very tactile, I never doubted she loved me but she never told me and certainly wasn't a hugger. If I ever asked her if she loved me she said "I'll think about it". Just the way she was and my dad was much the same. I think I sometimes over do the affection with my son to compensate so I hope he continues wanting cuddles for ever.

My baby is 13 and he still has a cuddle don't worry

There's nothing wrong with your kid doing that ,but just because John's kids are older , they're making him seem weird .

I adored my Dad when he was alive but no way would I have sat on his knee when I was an adult, plenty of ways to show affection but that is just weird.

His daughters are adults, he's spoken about it on TV, how likely is it going to be that there's anything freaky in it. To be honest the thought didn't occur to me, and I'm rather glad it didn't.

My dads dead so I don't personally sit on his knee (nor visit his grave actually) but if a family are close I see no harm in it.

Not at all its in the mind of the people who find it strange which I find a bit creepy when a simple thing between family is looked upon sexually by others.....then you have to wonder why they think that way.

This is the one and only time I will stick up for John as I think he's a complete knob.

Its nice to still have that connection but by the time his daughters are in their fifties it will start to look very weird
