These kinds of campaigners do nothing but damage their cause. Going on the attack like this just makes them look like dicks and I don't think the tattoo itself is that bad, it's just a picture, not a statement or endorsement.
When you are trying to change the way things are, you do so through helping people understand why, through education, not by attacking people like this especially over something so inconsequential as this. When you look for reasons to attack, you no longer represent your cause, you're just looking to lash out. |

A pathetic campaign it is a blood drawing effectivly do these morons who want his job really not have anything else to fight for?
He has explained the tattoo and says it is an unfinished dedication to his father who was shot to death. The tattoo is to show he 'shoots' with his legs. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc...mp/uk-44285455

But Sterling said it reflects a vow he made to "never touch a gun" after his father was shot dead when he was a boy.
------------------------- Yes, because if your father was "gunned down to death" when you were 2 i expect that when you get to 18 the thing you would want to do is look for a semi automatic gun "just like what killed my old man" but no Rahim did not, he got a tattoo of the illegal weapon that killed his father and put it in a terrible tattoo on his leg to remind him how his fathers assassin killed him and to remind him that if he wanted to kill someones dad he would do it by..kicking them to death? ![]() |

His reason is as stupid as saying; My old man was a soldier in WW2 who died in a Japanese POW Camp so I've had a tattoo of Emperor Hirito on my chest. B.S.

His reasons are his own, it doesn't really matter whether you think it's a stupid reason, it's his tattoo, his body and his reasoning.

![]() By your reasoning above Tommy Robinson's reasons for being on the street outside the Court in Leeds are his own - it being his life, his choice, his video camera, and his reasoning' - and your opinion of why he was there "doesn't really matter". Further; this a Serious Debates forum of which I am a member so unless you now actually own it besides just acting as if you do, then I have as much rights as you or any other member to express my opinions - one of which is that this footballer's reason for having the tattoo is STUPID. Or is this yet another example of your duplicity; that you can crow about Human Rights, Civil Liberties and Equality when it suits your politics and your views but not when someone has the temerity to post an opinion or facts which do not align with your own?

I do not care about this footballer's tattoo as I have already said several times, I do think though that the reason he gave for having it is ridiculous and makes no sense. I am expressing my opinion on that. Dezzy does not believe the reason that Robinson gave as to why he was streaming outside that court and he expressed his opinion on that. What is the difference? The topics may be different but is it OK for one member to express an opinion doubting motive but not another member to do so?

Didn't he also say something along the lines of that he shoots with his right foot that's why he placed it on that leg?

He got a crack pipe tatoo with the words I love crack, but it's all right it's on his back.
Young black kids are shooting each other on the streets in a this country and yet you can't see the link of a young blank man with gun tattoo who is in the public eye. |

Kids are getting groomed Kids getting recruited by extremists Kids drawn into drugs Sports stars get paid millions to wear clothes and shoes because kids will see them wearing it and want to have the same because they think that person is cool. So having a gun tatoo will have some kids believe that guns are cool. |

Damilola Taylor’s dad slams Raheem Sterling for reckless gun tattoo and demands he apologises to families of gun victims
THE dad of Damilola Taylor yesterday urged England’s Raheem Sterling to apologise over his gun tattoo — for the sake of the kids who idolise him. Richard Taylor, whose ten-year-old son was killed in a street attack, said: “I’m totally against Sterling’s decision to glamorise guns. ![]() “Footballers need to be aware kids look up to them. He must apologise to the families of gun victims.” Richard, 70, accused Sterling of recklessly glamorising a gun culture that is claiming the lives of youngsters and bringing misery to families. He said the striker’s decision to show off a tattoo of an M16 assault rifle on his leg was “totally unacceptable” — and set a terrible example to his impressionable young fans. He added: “Enough is enough from these footballers. They need to be aware young people look up to them. ![]() “Too many times they have been part of the problem of guns and knives and gangs and drugs in our communities.” Richard said Manchester City star Sterling’s behaviour was particularly irresponsible at a time when gun and knife-related deaths have risen sharply. He added: “This is not a time to be glamorising guns — when we have more than 60 dead on the streets of London this year. “They have become toys in the hands of our youths. This is a critical time when we’ve got all hands on deck to stop the violence. TV pundit and misguided SJW twat Gary Lineker tweeted: “Unique to this country to attempt to destroy our players’ morale before a major tournament. It’s weird, unpatriotic and sad.” But Richard, awarded an OBE in 2011 for campaigning against violent crime, said: “Gary Lineker’s comments are extremely disappointing. “I am really annoyed at him. It undermines everything we are trying to do to stop the violence. “Is England’s performance at the World Cup more important than young lives lost on London’s streets? Lineker doesn’t know the pain of parents who have lost children to violence.” Richard’s son Damilola was 10 when he bled to death after being attacked in Peckham, South East London, in 2000. ![]() ![]() https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/640649...ichard-taylor/ |
