Scottish nurses are getting 4% and even that’s a bit of a lowball. Pity Johnson didn’t say 4% for England. If he had, Scotland would give 7% .

Except he and his government aren't reviewing it.
He and his government stated a 1% increase.

HOWEVER the NHS pay review body, independent, is what is looking at Nurses pay.
Which they will then suggest what should have been the increase.

So again, he and his government are going to likely be forced into another shameful u turn.

Of course then it will be said he'd listened if he does.

A pity he didn't wait for the NHS pay body's recommendations, before he ever tried to get away with just 1%.

It's a disgrace.
With inflation the pay rise he's given them amounts to them having less spending power with his pathetically insulting 1% rise.

I hope he's forced to increase it

They should never even be thought of as being included as part of a pay freeze anyway.
Hard-line Cons won't agree.
This 1% rise a gross insult.

It's shameful his offer to the Nurses at it stands.
As for this Nurse.
She's one of likely many who after their hard work and dedication have been kicked in the teeth by Johnson and his government.

On the Nurses every Con MP should be hanging their heads on shame.
This Nurse ONLY echoes what probably most Nurses are thinking.

Still, there'll be excusing him for even offending any of the Nursing staff.
From his hard-line MPs and some of his hard-line voters too.

He's really not been acting like someone who's thankful to the NHS for saving his life...

After the year they have just had, an insulting 1% is a disgrace. I imagine there are many demoralised nurses and many more will leave the profession.

From a personal point some nurses should get more and some less
When my mum was dying in hospital of corona some of the nurses were self absorbed cows
Without out an ounce of compassion to someone saying goodbye to their mum.

I'm sorry about your mom sheriff and yes some nurses really shouldn't be in a caring profession ,but those that do a good job and take it seriously should get a decent wage.

No, not wen I and my sisters have full ppe on.
And it’s not just that I’ve been in hospital visiting someone and nurses have ignored patients who asked for help saying they were going to sick ignored them they were sick and was still covered in sick 15 minutes later after I told them twice

Have you not heard of people dying of thirst or hunger on wards because no body could be bothered to feed them

My dad is diabetic and his sugars drop fast he was in hospital a week and a half ago he was waiting all day to see a doctor my sister explained his needs and the nurse said I don’t think there is anything left and my sister told her that is not good enough in the end my sister had to go and get him food from the shop

Have you never heard the say post code lottery wen it comes to your chances of survival depending on wich part of the country you are in.

That's awful. Do you think there was food left and they couldn't be bothered or was there actually nothing available? As that is another problem, the NHS is so cash strapped now that patients are suffering and not getting basic requirements.

The whole NHS is in crisis and if we lose more nurses because they feel under valued, sadly the things you've experienced are only going to get worse

You're right. Leave nurses on a piss poor wage, whilst the government continues to cut off the funding which is the true source of problems. It's not the nurse's fault there was no food left.

I said there are good nurses and for that matter good doctors and bad nurses and bad doctors

There are hundreds of deaths every year because doctors fobbed people of with it’s a head ache it’s it’s the flue it’s heart burn.

I’m not saying don’t give doctors and nurses a decent wage I’m saying some are not fit to be in health care.
