Because Dom Cummings has his fingers in so many pies that he can end a political career with a WhatsApp message. After this I don't know how it can be anything but crystal clear that this guy is far more than a random political advisor... some really dodgy **** going on right now in plain sight and yet it just... carries on... with a barely plausible "that'll do I suppose" excuse.

He's been trying to creep in for years... David Cameron referred to the guy as a "career psychopath" ffs... and now the government has hopped right into bed with him.

He does seem to have many ties with foreign bodies and not in the Johnson-Arcuri sense, his connections with Russia have always been a cause for concern, especially with the report Boris is purposely sitting on, Cummings definitely knows where the bodies are, I just hope whatever he’s got on them is worth all of this to them

Come on people!

The only mistake he made yesterday was repeatedly mentioning the weird eyesight thingy .. he should have just mentioned it once along with all the other symptoms he’d suffered.

I think that due to a mixture of nerves and mental exhaustion he referred to the ‘weird eyesight’ over and over again probably when he was trying to justify an action he’d taken .... “ I was exhausted , under great pressure , my eyesight was weird ..”

The eyesight thing is just an annoyance now as he made it clear that both him and his wife were concerned about going him driving all the way home took the after being very ill over the previous week or so .. and they took the decision to drive 30 minutes to ‘the’ castle simply to gauge if his driving was up to scratch .

First poll since the Dominic Cummings situation Boris Johnson‘s approval rating has been knocked off by 20%, he’s in minus numbers for the first time.

Exactly, how can we believe a word he’s said? He’s a liar. He also didn’t mention the day he “tested his eyesight” driving to Bernard Castle was also his wife’s birthday?

There were some crucial questions missed during the briefing, they could have nailed him if a lot of them didn’t just repeat everyone else’s questions

The problem was not the nonsensical explanation, it was that he kept repeating it?

You make him sound like mother teresa - due to a mix of nerves and mental exhaustion

He made it clear

As the brave warrior stepped forward, the sweat on his biceps glistening like stars in the night sky...

Apparently the source was "someone off twitter thought they heard it on LBC but didn't" and it was never officially claimed at all.

Suddenly all the tories are using driving as an eye test. This is true Orwellian insanity.
