I’ve been thinking about the hated seasons, and each one had more positives for me than this. 21 had a good post-jury and drama, 19 had loads of drama and Raven being a laughable mess, 18 had the Paulie meltdown and 16 had some fun characters in Devin, Jocasta and Zach. And then you get to 9 and it’s like you could argue...well at least that was a mess

This season has NOTHING. Not only is it a steamroll but there’s no drama either and half of these people have no personality. How tf is this an All Stars season?!

I'm still hesitant to call this the worst season EVER because 19 was just that grimy and 16 not only was mind-numbingly boring but also had a terrible cast AND had without a doubt the worst impact on the franchise ever.

That being said, 19 at least had a top of the line finale and 16 at least had the Devin of Household week. So far all this season has is the Jaysar reunion and Nicola's descent into madness. Somehow I would say that 16 has been more eventful thus far, but I wouldn't be ready to call this season the worst ever until we see what the endgame has in store. Let's not forget that the 16 endgame consisted of bull**** like the Jordeff proposal and the dog and the entire Rewind Week, which is legitimately slept on as the worst twist ever from an entertainment perspective.

Another thing is that this cast is absolutely miserable. Ian, Bayleigh, Tyler, and Cody have all talked about quitting at various points and I'm sure I'm missing another one or two people. I've said it before, but I think one of the huge problems with getting returning players is that they are fully aware of just how taxing his show is on your mental health when you have rabid fans on Twitter and Instagram and Reddit leaving your businesses bad Yelp reviews and doxxing your family and sending literal hate mail to your house. Like, you're basically inviting people to ruin your life for a second time and it's one of the many many reasons I would never want to step foot in that hell house.
