People come in all shapes and sizes anyway. I think it's important to stay healthy, but i don't deny myself anything. Life is too short to live just on salads. lol

I mean, the average clothes size of a woman now is like size 16..which technically unless you are really tall, would be classed as obese in most cases.

Anyway, she need not worry, in most high street shops you have problems to begin with buying anything above (or below) about a size 8

Yeah, so she has a problem with those skinnier than her, and also those larger than her. Why not make it so every shop only caters for her personal size. Maybe then the ignorant offensive bitch would be happy

Empty starchy carbohydrates. I agree with not wanting to live on salads or veg but you can keep ALL of the tasty parts of a diet and just cut the "bulk" by removing white bread, pasta and potatoes. All are basically nutritionally worthless.

Potatoes fill you up better than anything else though, or they do with me. I could eat no end of salad, veg, and most meat and still feel peckish. Whereas a baked potato with beans or something fills me for hours and hours :S

I don't think I said this :/ Is it in a link I posted? She's opened a right can of worms here, the fashion industry just get around to catering for women of all sizes, after years of campaigns aimed at boosting womens self esteem, as too for very slim ladies and she says don't bother...

That is so true! But i think as long as you eat healthy and exercise you don't need to be skinny.

Its in the story

Well, so much for advertising and media making young people obsess about their weight, now we have light entertainment presenters demonising the obese.

You're Irish, that's different, it's a specialised diet for Irish people. Like, cows can survive eating just grass but most species couldn't. Likewise, all that is needed to sustain the Irish is the humble potato. The leading theory is that Irish people have evolved a special enzyme that actually converts potato starch into a superfood. It's fascinating stuff really. I actually saw a documentary recently in which they demonstrated Potatogenesis - a process by which elderly Irish people are buried up to their necks in a field for a few months and then when you return, they have sprouted more Irish people.
