surprised at the decision by the Prem as the Cabinet office advice was to wear armbands, play the anthem and have a minutes silence, I guess they felt the minutes silence might not be observed very well so they have decided against the matches going ahead?

european cup football has to go ahead though


either go ahead or english teams losing 0-3 without playing


because there is no time to postpone we need to finish in time before the world cup

Cricket resuming tomorrow think the reason footie isn’t going ahead is due to the reaction some fans would have during the minutes silence

Theatres are continuing as well but will dim the lights and play the anthem

It’s extremely sad that the queen has died but I don’t agree with cancelling all the football this weekend. There are still ways for people to show their respects at the game, whether that’s a minute silence, a round of applause etc.

If I was in a position where I had spent a lot of money on football tickets, travel and accommodation for an away game for it to be cancelled I wouldn’t be happy at all.

So apparently all the cricket and rugby fixtures are going ahead as normal!?

I am very confused


Why just suspend football and boxing !?!?

Crazy thing is many will just watch all the fabulous footie games from Spain , Italy and France for the next ten days !!

They may not bother watching some of our dross when they get to see Barcelona, Real Madrid plus Messi , Neymar and Mbappe

Peter Crouch has been quite vocal on this topic and apparently Trevor Sinclair I’d in trouble over an outrageous tweet !
