Vicky has tried to explain it as best she can, it would be an unusual situation so the rules can't be as clear cut as some people are demanding.

Putting it simply bobnot: there appears to be very very unclear rules on the forum about if, when, where, and how members can or cannot be insulted.

given that failing to abide by the rules of the forum results in infractions, and bans, this is far from nitpicking: but I'd say a very important matter that needs to be clarified - as if members don't know how rules are enforced, how are they meant to know when they are breaking them?

Marcus and Freddie are members as far as I am aware, though it has been a LONG time since they posted.

Aarons brother joined, this is the reason the rules about things like this have needed to be clarified (and I did a piss poor job of it to start with, couldnt find the right words at all

) as some seemed to think it was fine to insult him(in his thread) as he was connected with the show.

And quite simply - if a member is offended by another member's comment - the offending one by default, has been rude, rude enough to offend another person - by their perception, therefore they have been rude regardless of how 'the first one' perceived it.

Yeah but if you said in a post "I thought XXXX acted a dick on BOTS tonight" That's not an insult to them personally, just a comment on their behaviour, which we are allowed to comment on.

That has not one single thing whatsoever to do with what we are all talking about. We are discussing people who are forum members, and making such comment to them or about them....which is not allowed.

Hmm..i understand where you're coming from, but i'm not sure if it's wise to attempt to set up a "Us vs Them", type of divide...gets confusing.

I'm not, I was just trying to explain how insulting other members(regardless of who the member is) is against the rules. And how it is a little different when it comes to housemates or people to do with the show...as obviously people will still discuss them as housemates, rather than think of them as members.
