..I agree bots that the comment was not helpful/was unnecessary...it is though quite interesting that the audience in the vid who are appreciating the drag performance obviously also ‘hold a different opinion’...in that this is an act that they’re very much appreciating...not for any ‘lewd’ reasons, we can’t assume that because nothing in the vid suggests that...the performer is dressed completely age appropriately and the act is age appropriate also...the money being handed was the only thing that could have been questioned..?...but that is a traditional thing with drag acts, to show appreciation for stage acts that are not generally known as being highly paid...Ru Paul ladies are obviously an exception, but not ‘the norm’...

...there is nothing in the vid/in the performance/in the reaction to the performance and the appreciation of it by the mixed gender audience...that would suggest anything other than a difference of opinion to those who feel an inappropriate in some way for appreciating this act...

Just to the people implying (or directly saying) that it's homophobic to think this is a bit weird and inappropriate, I would find it equally off if it were an 11 year old girl all make up-upped in a bar performing to adults and getting dollar bills thrown at them. Like one of those weird ass pageants

I'm really torn about this. On one hand I am all for kids being able to express themselves how they want and be able to showcase their talents. On the other hand, an adult bar is possibly not the place for an 11 year old to be. I know I wouldn't allow my son to perform in a bar at that age to an adult only crowd. If it were a family night or similar it would be different.

If I think that this kid could be exploited I will bloody mention it...and try and work out in my head how he is being exploited..so it matters a great deal to me what is going through an 11yr old kids head...in a bar full of cheering adults. Cheering louder as the 2 items that were covering up that 11 yr old childs body shape were removed..encouraging his performance by shoving him doller bills...

You didn’t respond to my post. Firstly you spend half a dozen pages on some crusade against a crowd full of people, who were there encouraging a young person as he performs on stage. Something you immediately and unnecessarily sexualised. Secondly and if I might add, finally, revealed you’re exact reasoning as to why you’re so annoyed by the video. Ahhhhh I'm going to have to come out of left field on this one and say that I can see where Parm is coming from.

I don't think he's being exploited or that any of the adults there are likely to be looking at the kid "in the wrong way" - however, having given it some consideration, yeah I do think 11 is too young for this type of show. If there were other kids there it would be a bit different, but IMO it seems like a very clearly adult environment and at the very least, I guess, I'd have some questions befoe declaring this 100% fine. Shrug.

He’s 11. I’m pretty sure he’s growing to be an outstanding member of society.
