No, but then I'm quite shrewd with my money and I don't have any responsibilities so it's not hard to avoid it. I try to avoid using credit and stuff like that if I can though, I don't like being tied to things.

Just ring them up Joe. They'll split the debt into monthly payments and spread it along the year for you. Been there myself plenty of times

I'm being chased by about 10 bailiff companies for different debts from when I was younger.

I'll pay them eventually, but cant really afford to at the minute.

When living in your own place you have no choice but to pay for things you often can't afford. Rent, gas, electric, council tax, phonebill, internet, groceries etc etc etc

Lloyds bank offered me a £1000 overdraft on my 18th birthday.

Obviously I took it.

WTF were they thinking though, they knew I barely made any money then as I used my bank for my wages

Lloyds are ridiculous for things like that though, they let my 16 year old(at the time) sister use an unarranged overdraft. Obviously the majority of 16 year olds would just see it as free money, to be fair on her though she only spent about £100 but it could have been more. And then they hounded her for it. Sharp shut up though when my mother went in and told them how illegal it was to give her credit at that age...

Yup. Very very easy to get into debt when you run a house

All it takes is for one thing to go wrong, for example, a washer breaking. Clearly you have to buy a new one, and end up in debt on other things.

Natwest are just as bad. When I was 16/18 I worked part time for £65 a week. They gave me a grand overdraft

Natwest charged me around £300 in bank charges because I accidently went £3.43 overdrawn. Yup...

Needless to say, after trying to sort it out with them and them insisting I would pay it...one of the bailiffs who are looking for me is collecting that for them. That is one I am NOT paying.
