Default What happens on a stag/hen do -

- stays on the stag/hen do

Do you agree with this mentality? I'm just watching Booze Britain - Brits abroad and hate it when I see men who are about to get married get off with other women (and vice versa)

Would you be fine with it if you later found out that your husband/wife had been doing anything from kiss to sleep with someone else just before you married? It's cheating isn't it?

Yes.It is cheating and I would not be fine with it.I have seen it go on at stag nights I have been to,sadly it is seen as a last night of freedom by some when in fact it should really be the opposite.

So if you'd been with your partner for say 5 years and you decide to marry, you'd be fine if they slept with someone a week before your marriage?

I wouldn't be fine at all. I don't see it as their "last night of freedom", I think that comes before you agree you're in a commited relationship rather than marriage.

I think many use these 'parties' as an excuse. "Oh it was my hen/stag night, I'm allowed". Ridiculous

Agreed. I don't get why people would want to do that if they're about to get married the next day, which is meant to be "till death".

If/when I get married (which will be like 15 years from now LOL) I'm not going to do anything like that, I'm just gonna go out and have a good time. -will probably change mind in 15 years time-

I think if anyone has to celebrate their last night of freedom, they aren't ready to commit/settle down.

I think the boundaries definitely get pushed a bit but I wouldnt say it's ok to actually have sex with another woman. I agree that what happens on a stag do should stay on a stag do though

If a man has a stag do, you know already that he is the type of character who puts his mates first and girlfriend second. Women who have hen nights believe in their friends first and man second.
So why the surprise if the man/woman cheats when you know beforehand you are not the number one love of their life? You are not even 2nd or 3rd or 4th.
For them it goes family>mates>lover.
If someone priority was lover>family>mates then they would not want to even have a stag do/hen night in the first place. Instead they would want to have maybe a romantic night with each other. To me, this couple seems a lot more in "love"
You have zero grounds for complaint if man/woman cheats on stag/hen night as you have already accepted your status as being second to the mates.

I agree, I would rather have a pamper hen do to de-stress for the big day than a p*** up, I don't understand the point in that. When its a stag night/weekend I think it should be a similar treat for the groom.

that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. You think a good relationship means never spending time with your friends for a man?

If someone would rather spend time with their friends than husband/wife then its not really an important relationship is it.
It is nothing more than a buddy who you occasionally ******. ****** buddy.
So if one of them cheats, who cares really? It wasn't important to begin with

so you think that if you're in a relationship with someone you should never go out with your friends? I think it's important and far more healthy to be able to spend time with your friends as well as your partner. The point of the matter is, in a good, committed and trusting relationship you wouldn't even worry about your partner cheating while they're out.

LOL what bull, so spending one night with some friends as part of a traditional celebration means that you must not love your partner.

You're talking out your ass, loving someone doesnt mean that they're the only person you can ever spend any time with, and that you have to sacrifice and cut ties with any friends you previously had.

why you keep going to the extreme and misquoting me?

i never said they NEVER go out with friends. I talking about someone who enjoys and prefers to go out with their friends rather than partner. So they choose more times to spend time with friends.
Whether it is a guy who prefers to go down pub with his mates and woman who prefers night out with the girls instead of being with their partner.

Its not thy should NEVER go out with friends. Its what do they prefer?
If they prefer spending time with friend over lover/partner/spouse its not a very good relationship in my opinion.

ok, that's fair enough, it's just when you said "If a man has a stag do, you know already that he is the type of character who puts his mates first and girlfriend second. " that's the impression you gave off.

I just think the content of what people do on those parties are up to the couple to agree their consent on.

Yeah, I can't actually think of anything worse than my friends dressing me up as a tacky bride, sticking penises on me and subjecting me to some god awful stripper.. I'd just be mortified. I'd much rather do something that I wouldn't usually do (I'm not sayiong it's the norm for me to go out with plastic penises on me)

On my sisters hen night, all the girls went for a good slap up Mexican meal, her hubby and co went for a traditionla lads curry and lager then we all met up and went clubbing and bride and groom to be went home together. It was a great night!

My son's gf is on a hen party at the moment, they've gone for a pamper weekend and my son is going on a stag next weekend where they are all going paintballing and go karting, then they'll all have a few drinks after. Not a plastic penis in sight
