Default Ashley Madison Adultery Site Data 'Dumped Online'

The FBI is said to be investigating after hackers claim to upload the details of millions of people who use a website for affairs.

Justice In A Way

http://news.sky.com/story/1537943/as...-dumped-online

This has been building up for some time
since Hackers said they had Bank details as well.

[In July, AshleyMadison.com - which specialises in adulterous
relationships - was hacked by a group calling themselves Impact Team.
At the time, they threatened the website owners, Avid Life Media,
saying they would release the data unless the website was taken down.
Now, Sky News understands that just less than 10Gb of the data,
including user names, email addresses, passwords
and bank details, has been published on the dark web.]

Erm, have these people ever thought that they could just not get married in the first place and shag around to their hearts (and dick's) content?

You play away there is always the risk of getting caught, half the thrill for some.
I find the hackers worse than the adulterers, taking the moral high ground and then hacking the site.

the point the hackers are making is that the site was charging people to delete their information, but they didn't delete the information. the clients should sue the company Ashley Madison, not blame the hackers.

The website was charging people 20 bucks to delete their accounts, and people thought if they paid that amount their data was being deleted, but instead ashley madison did not delete it, they kept it. that is why hackers are targeting them. Ashley Madison was running a major scam on people.

This really has nothing to do with cheating, it's about Ashley madison basically scamming people and blackmailing them to charge them 20 bucks for nothing.

I feel bad for all the people who had their information leaked, but it is ashley madison's fault, not the hackers! Ashley Madison promised to delete their information and charged them money to delete it, but they didn't delete it.

That makes it sound as if the hackers were trying to do Ashley Madison customers a favour by punishing the site for not deleting their information but this leaking of all their details screws over the people signed up more than Ashley Madison not deleting their details does

it was a harsh way to expose corruption, just like all leakers, like chelsea manning, or edward snowden exposing a lot of stuff that wasn't corrupt, to expose something larger. when they make a big data dump, they expose a lot of innocent people that are not bad people in order to expose the bigger entities behind it.

i agree with you though, i don't know if it was the right thing to do. i'm just explaining the reasoning behind the hackers. i'm not necessarily agreeing with it.

the bottom line is that Ashley Madison should have deleted their information. and protected their members, and then the hackers could never have gotten it.

All internet companies need to protect the people who have accounts. They need to spend more money and time on security.

what we need is a few high profile companies to get sued for not protecting information. It should have happened already

eggsactly. we need to be criticizing companies for protecting data, not waging war on people who expose the flaws in those companies security flaws. if you run an internet company, especially one that promises privacy. it better be private. if you make a promise you have to keep it.

but that's not really fair, we all want more sex. sex and love are not the same thing. we all want more sex.

we need to change society to be more open minded about sex, and stop letting ancient religions tell us how relationships should be. why are we listening to old religious men about what we can do with our private parts. we all know what those religious old men do with their private parts and it;s perverted and gross, and way criminal.

who are they to tell us what to do with our bodies when they are ****ing kids???

Of course it's fair, marriage is a promise to be monogamous, if you want more sex with other people then you shouldn't get married

i think your idea of marriage is very outdated. it's an idea of marriage made by old men in the church who were ****ing young boys.

obviosly the churches idea of sexual rules is bull****.
