Leona is the better singer but I think I prefer the Kelly Clarkson version just because of the faster pace and more modern feel to it.

The problem with this song is that ever since I saw The Dictator, I always think of this scene when I hear it.

Also I heard Kelly's version first and fell in love with it, plus her live performance of it in the finale after she wins where she gets emosh >>>

Kelly's version also for me exactly for these reasons, i really loved her american idol audition, also where she sits at the judges desk and Randy has to sing for them
