You dont know these people (randomly selected from the world population) and if you chose to live there are no comebacks and no one will know (but the families of the dead will obvs grieve).

Exactly, my family comes first so if any of them are in the room then I'd have to sacrifice myself... But if none of them are in the room then the best thing for them is for me to survive so

Where it would get complicated though... Is if there were 9 strangers and me, but if I choose to let myself die and them live, my family gets the £10 mil.

Ideally but I have a disabled child and spend like 20% of the time worrying about what's going to happen to her when we die, because state care for learning disabled adults is absolutely horrifying.
