Yes do not let the MOB stop you.
['I will continue to say what I believe to be true': Laurence Fox insists he will 'not stand by' and be silenced by the BLM protests despite fears he may never work again after backlash over comments on race and 'woke' culture The star drama Lewis said the possible end of his career was cause of 'sadness' Fox has courted controversy with tweets and an appearance on Question Time Writing in The Spectator he said he would continue speaking his mind] [The star of ITV drama Lewis, writing in the conservative magazine The Spectator, said it was a 'cause of sadness' at the possible loss of his career and the 'bleak view of my prospects' came after his appearance on Question Time. He accused Rachel Boyle, an academic at Edge Hill University, of racism after she called him 'a white privileged male' on Question Time.] [Writing in the Spectator he said: 'I have come to the conclusion that I may never get an acting job again without expressing ‘correct’ opinions. 'While this probably isn’t the end of the world for you, it is a cause of some sadness and anxiety for me. 'Not least because I’ve always loved my job and also because I have two children who need dinner and clothes and a holiday once in a while.'] https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-protests.html |

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

A fading actor with an exciting new prospect in far-right posterboy money, not a fan of a populist movement? Colour me shocked.

.... 'I have come to the conclusion that I may never
get an acting job again’...When he uses that type of contrived dialogue, I feel that he’s Not playing from the heart, but playing to an ‘audience‘...it’s interesting since the horrendous murder of George Floyd, how many people are painting themselves as the victim ...and they only start shouting when another black life becomes a victim... |

Interesting that he listed ‘a holiday’ as one of his children’s basic needs alongside food and clothes.

No-one is silencing him, it’s not BLM’s fault that he hasn’t worked for a year

The show totally doesn't need a second season, the characters were all really unlikeable imo and the only interesting thing about it was seeing the who dun it in the end, what's the point in a second season?

No it doesn’t need it, however the cast have all expressed interest in doing more and I think the writers were keen to explore more into the lives of them

In an age where actors and singers seem to be the voice of the generation that is going to save us all... I don't see why he cannot say what he feels. I don't see why anybody should be silenced.

I agree completely with your post. Totally right your mention of George Floyd's death being horrendous. The other massive concern I had on that death was, how awful it was plus it was filmed. Then for me, just what other atrocities are done in circumstances where filming isn't done. Frightening. |

He hasn't been silenced and he can (and has) said what he feels. If execs, directors and showrunners no longer want to hire him based on things he's said... They also have the freedom to make that choice. That's how it works. People are free to say what they feel, but they do not have the ability (nor the right) to dictate how other people respond to their words.

He is unfortunate to be working in an industry where there is very little diversity of opinion
