Bathroom safety for women versus trans women was the big issue, but as there still isn't any evidence or data to suggest that's a factual issue, then we end up in the abstract. Of course there is evidence for bathrooms existing and being actual spaces.

I don't believe there is any studies or data being collected anyway (as oddly enough this is always shut down, research into the subject I mean and data being collected) Just look at all the follow up there was done on patients of the (now deemed unsafe for children) Tavistock Clinic (none)

Safety btw isn't the only issue for women and girls with having male bodied people in their spaces where they might be vulnerable, women and girls have the right to privacy and dignity too as well as safe guarding (which was there because of our biological sex not because of a gender identity)

But one case that did spring to mind was this one :

Even without studies being shot down, it doesn't need to be a safety issue - why should women be forced to give up woman-only spaces for transwomen? Even those who aren't predators violate the single sex space by just being there.

Not to mention it taking away the ability for women and girls to question any man being in their space, again look at the what happened when women with their daughters present tried to do that at the Wii Spa, they were told they were bigots for not being OK with an adult man flashing his penis at women and girls in what was supposed to be the female only area, the guy it turns out later is an actual sex offender, probably wasn't even trans but because of this loophole women aren't allowed to question anyone anymore

Of course there is data being collected (as you've posted some) and it's not realistic to think if these events were happening at the levels suggested, that they wouldn't be spread everywhere at all times by certain media and groups.

That doesn't detract from the heinous and vile crime experienced by that victim you posted, which of course is one event too many, but a boy/man raping a woman (in any environment, including bathrooms) is depressingly not an anomaly.

The fact that it isn't an anomaly is all the more reason not to remove safe guarding for women especially in places where they're particularly vulnerable (eg in a state of undress)

Our toilets here in work are unisex but we have 2 and they're just rooms like a toilet in a house so totally depends on the set up as well i think

do women have to wait until someone is assaulted or murdered, surely a bit of outside the box thinking could be applied here, it is already proven some men will self ID as women for reasons other than wanting to be a woman

of course it does, a busy beach or pub or restaurant is not going to pose any risk to women using the same toilet as men, that is not to say there wont be areas where woman will not want to share facilities

Yeah, i'm thinking of the ones where there's a communal space with sinks, Sanitary product vending machines, hand dryers and where the toilets are those stall type ones with gaps at the top and bottom

Yeah talking about assaults is a bit of a strawtran, as safeguarding isn't the only argument against males going into woman-only spaces. Even in a world without crime, women should be able to expect to not see men in certain places.

I think we have all been in places where there are communal facilities, that is not to say they are appropriate 100% of the time

By communal I meant all the women share that space btw, not mixed sex communal spaces if you get what I mean! I think these spaces should be kept female only

Yeah I know what you meant, sorry I meant at some markets and stuff there are just one set of toilets to be used by both men and women, there is always a queue so no one is at risk, that is not an issue at all
