People can wear what they want at the gym as long as you're not showing nudity .
But i've seen a few of those videos and
1. The women are looking for attention
2. The men in the background never consented to be filmed
3. They're trying to make the men look 'creepy', and they need to stop shaming these men.
4. They want views and followers for their insta /tiktoks . It's actually really pathetic and annoying .

When was it a crime to glance at someone at the gym, it's a public space ... and everyone is in the same boat in their own zone working out. From what i've seen , these men offer to help these women with the equipment. And they also ask if they've finished using another machine?? , which is just good manners imo . It's all drama over nothing.

Really good point. It's an invasion of privacy. If I were filmed at a gym I'd be fuming I don't want to be on camera thank you very much.

I haven't been to the gym for well over a decade. Sounds like I'm missing out on some eye candy.

That's another reason why the men are probably 'glancing over' , they're probably wondering why these women have their phones on display, it's so obvious they're filming/up to something . Exactly completely inappropriate in a gym.

I agree.

And in this particular case the woman is being the creepy one anyway for recording this guy without his knowledge, and practically drawing her audience attention to the guy.

Agree with Niamh that people shouldn't be allowed to film in gyms. People should (and basically always do) mind their own business in there, that clothing in the video is a bit ridiculous though

Unless you start off morbidly obese it doesn't take long or particularly intense gym-going to get into "reasonable" shape so most people in the gym tend to be that I find. I personally have never been able to stick out a gym environment for longer than a couple of months... I get bored. So I just have a weights set up at home where I can watch telly at the same time

Disclaimer: I'm not a gym bro for aesthetics, I have **** shoulders (joints in general, but shoulders is most relevant to this) and if I don't keep my upper body relatively strong they literally start just popping out of their sockets at random. It's a fun time.

Probably genetic - my mum completely dislocated her hip in her teens and was in hospital for months. Like... nothing physically happened to her... she was just stood around and it went *POP*. So on balance, I'm glad it's my shoulders and not my hips.

...bet my hips will be crap when I'm older though .

The answer is to simply BAN all filming in the gyms .. surely.

There are a tonne of reasons to ban filming - there's also a huge problem with "ego lifting" - young nob'eads lifting weights that are far too heavy for them and filming it for social media, and they end up hurting themselves and/or putting other people at risk because they're not in control of the equipment.

I swear it's like "free" exercise, if it's a good enough show you sort of forget .

Workmates have tried to get me to join in with "Yoga Wednesdays" but I swear my bones weren't up to that at 20 let alone now. I'd do myself a mischief.

To be fair LT women doing muscle work have always been focussed on legs and butt...

It doesn't mean dirty old men are supposed to focus on them too
