I was a BBUS addict and was looking up international BBs and found BBUK during BB9. I remember going on the website and reading Dale's profile and thinking he was a dickhead. And I remember seeing a clip of Rodrigo and the fake queen task during BB10. It wasn't until mid-BB11 that I got high-speed internet and found episodes on Youtube, and now I've seen almost every series.

My first ever series was Celebrity Big Brother 5 (with Jade and Shilpa), I watched this occasionally but I didn't watch it properly. Then in 2009, my sister introduced to Big Brother again, I have been addicted to Big Brother ever since BB10.

Parents loved it. I remember BB3 being on and used to think to myself 'not this pooey programme' and went up to my bedroom all the time
Then I happened to stay down 1 Friday when it was an eviction and loved the whole process and watched the remainder few weeks haha!

well I'm from america. So first Imma tell you how i found out the american version first then uk

American Version
I was 8 when the first season was on. I think i caught one highlight show and it was my only one, they were dying each other's hair blue or something and they opened the lines that episode for an eviction.

Then mom must of heard of BB2 from friends at work and I watched the first ep with her. I've been hooked since.

I first heard of BBUK on Wikipedia around BB8 but never looked up clips. Looked up BB9 clips a year later

I was obsessed with Friends at the time and the BB5 launch was on straight after the Friends finale on C4 and I thought it looked interesting so I gave it funny. It's weird to think that cos of BB I went on a Prestelle forum and ended up obsessed with Take That. So loads of people I know and experiences I've had have been down to Channel 4's scheduling.

Grew up with Mum hating it and everything about it so I sort of copied and hated it too. One night in 2006 at my mum's friends house I watched Nikki changing in the bedroom and my Mum's friend took the mick out of me for watching naked girls or something LOL but I liked the idea of the show at this point, I was just too young. And in December 2009 I watched a C4 special about the history of BB, gave CBB7 a chance and loved it, then got hooked during BB11 and loved it from start to finish. Since then I've seen BB3, CBB8, BB12, CBB9 and I'm currently watching BB7 on YouTube.

During BB7 my friend's brother was obsessed, I was in their house a few times and saw it on TV, it made me interested, so I watched the CBB after that one and watched BB8 etc..

In 2006 when BB7 was airing I had an online friend from Liverpool who told me about Nikki and showed me clips of her and I was obsessed. But it wasn't until 2009 that I found the full season online on YT and was able to actually start watching it.

Oh, and in 2006 when I first heard about it, I didn't really know about or watch Big Brother US. I started watching that in 2007.

The furthest back I can remember is BB2 - I remember being at my hairdresser's house reading the newspaper and it had bios about the housemates, and I concluded that Bubble was a knob, so decided to watch bits of it. Only really properly watched from BB3 though... my mum didn't like it, but I remember watching BB4 religiously with my next door neighbour's mum. I had a crush on her LOL. (she was only like late 20s/early 30s )

I first heard of it during BB3 - I was living in a hostel and it was like 9, and I got told to go to bed 'cus I was like a little kid.
But I thought I'd be a rebel and sneak downstairs 'to get a drink' and I ended up going into the living room with all the women and watching some BB3.

The first series I properly watched though was BB5.

This is crazy, I keep getting the impression that the Americans don't know Big Brother exists over there?
They had guests on Bit On The Radio in Summer that didn't know about BBUSA, and I've seen comments on YouTube and then Karissa and Kristina didn't even know about it either. WAT.

LOL That's how my Nan was about BB7 actually, like almost the exact same as you.

Big Brother isn't really a big show here. Whereas I think it was the first mainstream reality show in the UK, here it started a month after Survivor, which was a massive hit, and the first season of BBUS was unbearably boring. I only heard about BB as a result of being a Survivor fan and going on Survivor forums. I only know a few people at my school who watch BB.

I just remember it having quite a big reputation as sh*t television, probably just by word of mouth tbh, gave it a try during BB7 and thought it was pretty good but my Mum hated it and never really wanted me watching it. Honestly the only full normal series I've seen are BB8, 11 and 12, seen most of the Celeb ones though

I remember at the age of 10 seeing John Mckrick picking his nose and from then on I was hooked. Well, I didn't watch BB6 but really began to watch from CBB4

It was hard to not discover back in 2000, but I still could've easily chose not to give it a try. If I hadn't stuck with it back then, I probably wouldn't have watched anymore series and that's a scary thought, as it's easily been one of my favourite TV shows of the 21st century. Even if I am still around in 2099, I still think it will be.

Just from it being advertised on TV I think, it was a brand new show and sounded interesting
