my girlfriend is back from Luxembourg in 2 weeks. I haven't seen her for 6 weeks now.
If I'm honest, I didn't miss her as much as I thought I would.

There is a talk of New-Castle at other thread.
I remembered something.
While my husband was in a hospital (not serious) I visited my sister in-law and her husband in New-Castle. I have not seen them for a long long time. They seemed to have aged so did I.
The middle of our conversation I noticed something was not right.
Suddenly her husband shouted, "Oh it is you, you put on weight. I thought you were from the corner's Chinese restaurant's waitress. I have been wondering why you are here! "

I was getting prank phone calls, quite eerie ones, for WEEKS and couldn't figure out how they'd got my number.
Was in the pub and overheard my friend (who was out with me and 6+ others) saying to some lad from the other village "here, give this a ring if you're bored. it scares the sh!t out of them!"
He then looked straight at me and smirked.
So me now being the cool-headed individual I am - walked over to him smiled, grabbed his phone (iPhone 3G), dropped it on the floor, stood on it and smashed it. Then still smiling, poured his pint over his head. He didn't even move, he just stood there like this ":|", he's one of those really feminine gays so I'd feel harsh decking him. The whole pub was in SILENCE!
I then walked home feeling like a legend HAHA.

To be honest, I do not like people on bicycles when I am driving.
Because I am a nervous driver so I do not like overtaking bicycles.
Today after all, this morning, I walked from Kings-cross to Holborn where I worked. it took just 30 minutes. I was not late to work luckily.
Tonight the station was still closed, luckily I took a bus, but it took more than 50 minutes to get to Kings-cross because of the traffic jam.
(normally it is less than 10 minutes I think) Lots of people got off the bus and walked but I did not have energy to walk.
I would cycle if I can use the special lane for bicycles though.
I do like cycling basically.:)

He was died of AIDS.
I remember something about a word AIDS.
When I worked as a sales ledger clerk in a small company around late 1970s, we never heard of disease called AIDS.
As we did not have a computer, we had to take documents (one month sales invoices) to a company called AIDS in order to process statements to our customers for us.
We used to say "Who is going to AIDS this month?" like that.

I saw a thread about citizen's advice bureau.
We had a border problem with neighbour years ago.
Some stage we stopped talking and started make conversations by letters. The neighbour, the husband was a solicitor in a large law firm in City and he used his colleague as his representative.
We could not afford a lawyer so I went to a local citizen's advice bureau.
(My husband became too emotional and did not help the situation so I took over. For him this argument was not a piece of land but feeling betrayed, specially we had a very good friendship for years.)
A lady gave me some advice but I felt she was not keen that if other person was solicitor, the person must had a concrete evidence.
I was losing the argument (it was a long story). But in the end luckily I found an old photo I took when we moved to this place. It cleared everything that I was telling the truth all along!!

That remindes me of this;
One day my friend and I went to a pizza house and I had a very strong garlic dish.
After the meal we went to Tesco to buy something.

She said to other one pointing the fresh garlic, "I did not know garlic could smell before cooking" !!!

Take him clothes shopping you stingey get!
Ha ha it was his hair style like one on TV.
But you are right, he is a very poor dresser.
He has decent cloths but he does not like I buy. He would not wear them.
He likes very worn out ones as he says they are comfortable.
Years ago one day, we decided to go to a Japanese restaurant.
Just before we were out, I noticed the shoes he was wearing was not suitable for going out.
I asked him to change to more decent as Japanese are very fashion conscious as I was expecting there would be other Japanese at the restaurant. But he refused it.
I said I would not go he did not change it, he said he would not go he had to change it and we did not go after all.
.
One Christmas Party, he refused to go out wearing a cashmere topcoat and insisted to wear the jacket like Michael Foot one. There was an argument the night.
I remembered something else.
He reads the Sun.
Years ago one day he found an article about something he was interested (spinal operation in India or something)
But he lost the paper.
Few days later he started to ask local stores for the paper but it was not successful.
He then, according to him, he started to knock the neighbours doors, expectedly nobody either read them nor kept them.
Then he started to knock the door, totally strange street he had never been.
One house when he knocked the door, a middle age lady answered. He asked the same question, then the lady asked him to wait at the door, he thought at last she had got the Sun.
But she returned holding a pound coin.
When he told me about it after I came home, I had to make sure he did not accept the money.
I could not trust his cheekiness just in case. Thank goodness he did not.
Also he told me;
One day he went to a fish and chip shop.
He did not have much appetise, so he asked the person, small fish and no chips.
When he came home he found lots of chips under the fish.

I have just had a ferocious battle with my 4 quid toaster from Wilko. The bastard wouldn't be having my hot cross bun fit in, but eventually after much persuasion it did. Then when it did, the bun wouldn't come out
And so the end is nigh for my toaster.

What do you expect. It is a £4 toaster. Probably the cheapest you can get. Normally for bread that is then toasted. Not hot cross buns. You can buy one's that do hot cross buns or just buy a better toaster.

How to people rack up so much debt yet think they are able to afford holidays abroad and then bury their head in the sand when it all piles on top of them? More money than sense. DON'T SPEND WHAT YOU HAVEN'T GOT!

Why Ian was banned and how long?
Yeah, I was wondering this. I thought Mods were supposed to put it in the ban thread?

I'm guessing he was banned for saying something to Thomas.
He'd seriously better come back :(

Yeah but tbh it's not really his fault if people say things to him. No-one that disliked him before can just drop it.
You should love him though  You're quite similar.

It is lovely sunny today, I want to mow the lawn but I can not.
Nobody make a big noise on Sunday around here as a church is just around the corner.
Their regular banner was updated recently'
"Saints have a past, sinners a future!"
Shall I be a sinner this afternoon?

On an another thread I was talking about fingers.
I remembered something.
Long ago I went to an evening class to learn typing.
Because it was new to me, I enrolled myself to a beginners class.
At the first lesson, the tutor pointed out to me that I was in a wrong class.
I said I never typed using correct fingers before so I was in the right class. Then she said to me the beginners class was for the people who could use fingers correctly.
I should have gone to a "Keyboard class".
