Tony Bennett talked about his upcoming duet album with Lady Gaga, titled Cheek to Cheek, in a recent interview.

“I don’t understand why she makes contemporary music,” the 16-time Grammy winner said. “When she sings great standards, she does it with such emotion… She will surprise people by the quality of her voice when making quality songs. We sing covers together on the album, but also separately. There are also some original songs, including one she wrote called ‘Paradise.’ With this album, I think she will become bigger than Elvis Presley!”

Tony added: “Of course we recorded the album in New York. As the song says: ‘If you can make it in New York, you’ll make it anywhere.’”

Cheek to Cheek is set for release in September.

During that conversation she talked about how she is concentrating on her album with Tony, but she would love to put out a B-side album with tracks from The Fame, The Fame Monster, Born This Way and ARTPOP.

“Then, talking more about her jazz album, she sang a snippet of ‘Paradise’, a song that she wrote for the record. She said it was inspired from a poem that her aunt Joanne wrote before she died. “She told us that she is aware of how the ARTPOP single releases were a mess. She actually said that she wanted to release ‘Aura’ as the first single. Then I asked her if she was sad that it leaked… and guess what! She said that she’s the one that leaked it! She was pissed at her record label so she created a fake account called ‘Borris’ and leaked the song!

She also said that she doesn't sing Dope anymore because she doesn't want to think about that part of her life anymore

Finally, my last question was: out of all her songs, which one is she the most proud of… and she said: ‘The one that I’m writing right now’… that’s all she said!”

When asked about the next ARTPOP single, she said: "I don't know would you like one? Which one?" everybody in the room said "Gypsy" and she said "Okay! I'll think about it."
