Makes sense that a newer updated thread was eventually needed:D.

Any update in midweek sales re Album chart?

Adele and Gaga are the same atm, some people are getting bored of Adele's songs re the former boyfriend and some songs sounding depressing after a while and then there is Gaga with the religious element. Both are unstoppable though!

Hope Beyonce does well.

WTF is this?

Ari Kresch, a Michigan attorney, is suing Lady Gaga over the sale of wristbands she sold to raise money for Japanese earthquake victims. He claims that the singer didn't disclose how much of the $5-per-armband price was going to victims and that she charged too much for shipping.

The shipping and handling charge was $3.99 per armband, which does seem a little extreme, but you have to consider how much "handling" went into each armband. Plus, you have to factor in the cost to have the "WE PRAY FOR JAPAN" armbands made, so maybe $3.99 isn't extreme.

The real problem, however, is that Kresh's fellow attorney, Alyson Oliver, asked how much of the $5 price was going to the victims of the earthquake and tsunami—no one could tell her. In fact, according to Fox 2 News in Detroit, defendants admitted that some of the money was being held back.

It isn't unusual for charities to hold a portion of proceeds from sales to cover administrative costs, but reputable charities can give an answer when asked what portion of the proceeds are being held.

Kresch claims that he only wants to get the money due to the victims to the victims, and that is noble. The $5 million he is asking for in the lawsuit can go a long way to helping those affected by the disaster.

So, Lady Gaga will face accusations of racketeering and corruption in Michigan. Can she afford to head to court for this, or should she just go ahead and pay the victims of the Japan disaster the money she collected for them by selling these bracelets using her name?

Lady Gaga has landed in Taiwan to kick off her very first visit to the island. The singer looked gorgeous wearing a black and blonde wig as she waved and blew kisses to fans and journalists. Several news channels broadcast Gaga’s arrival at the airport live.
On Sunday, Lady Gaga will sing in Taichung city, which has officially declared the day “Lady Gaga Day” in honor of her first performance in Taiwan. Later in the day, Gaga is set to appear at an album launch in Taichung Arena.

She looks amazing :amazed:

Lady Gaga sat down for an interview for Channel V and revealed some interesting details about the music video for her fourth single:
She admits she hasn't been this excited about a music video in a really long time.
The visual will delve deeper into the challenge of living halfway between reality and fantasy.
And Lady Gaga's YUYI the mermaid will make an appearance ("Yuyi just may be born in the next video") in the music video for her fourth single.

THEY BETTER CHOOSE SCHEISSE OR THEY'RE STUPID.

I can't stand the fact that Katy Perry, Adele and Britney Spears are ruling the charts cause if and when she releases Bloody Floppy, guess what? its gonna flop and it WONT be played on Radios or shown on TV cause of the religious aspects of it. damn gaga, scheisse (yes its **** in another language) but still its the most chart/ tv/ radio friendly song and would smash it in the summer, or even americano! or government hooker. not bloody mary, yes its a good song, but couldnt she do it in October, where its relevant?!

The next single doesn't really matter and she knows it. Her record company has already made their money back, and they don't care.

They know anyone that's gonna buy her album has already bought it. Everything that happens from here on out is just promotion for the tour.

You guys really don't seem to know anything about the business at all.

on a side note... it is gonna be a freaking AMAZING tour ;)

Stu
11-07-2011, 12:06 PM
I think it's pretty over generous to her ability to generate controversy to claim any possible faliure of this song should be attributed to it's religious motifs, too.

Nobody gave a rats ass about Judas. Much was made of it's religious aspects but it was just quietly shrugged off and went out with a whimper.

Niall
11-07-2011, 04:01 PM
Umm since when were Adele and Britney ruling the charts atm? :conf2:

And with the right amount of promotion and airplay Bloody Mary would probably be a very successful single, I doubt you've heard that Scheisse would probably have to be censored upon release due to the (disguised) swearing throughout the track. I'd rather have Bloody Mary released rather than a censored version of Scheisse as having half the song bleeped out or something would ruin it.

So teal hair (hopefully) for the video?

and then she posted her performance as Yuyi, with the caption

PARIS IN MERMAID FASHION . YUYI AWAITS A LOVER TO SAVE HER.

which would narrow down the single to either You & I or Heavy Metal Lover.

I'm hoping or the latter

Trema, a diacritic consisting of a pair of dots ( ¨ ) above a vowel, used in German to mark umlaut

Umm since when were Adele and Britney ruling the charts atm? :conf2:

Adele has been ruling the charts worldwide since january. Wiping the floor with all the other big female artists sales wise.

Britney not so much. Although in America Brit is giving Gaga a run for her money.

About Adele, I was talking about right now. Her songs aren't running everything right now though they were a few months back.

I do hope Scheisse will be a single at some point, I think it would make a good single for the Halloween period. The great thing about BTW (album) though is that apart from one or two songs, they could all be great singles.

- You and I

If she's announced she's only releasing 4 singles, then your original question is void right ?

Having said that what's to say she might change her mind on how many she releases.

I am actually going to slap her if i ever meet her

She's dressed like Marilyn Monroe to reference Government Hooker.
She Tumbl'd Govt Hooker lyrics.
She teased Govt Hooker at performances.
She teased Scheisse in Germany.
She wrote Scheisse in her column.
She made a NO ENTRY twitpic for Americano or Electric Chapel.
She sent Americano to high-profile US shows.
She's performed Hair non-stop.
She threw in reality + fantasy in interviews to tie to her Bloody Mary explanation.
She's mentioned her dreams of the future to fit into Highway Unicorn.

And again, i know, im waiting for someone to moan at me for getting something wrong, but again, IDGAF.

cause "yuyi" sounds japanese, and in one part of songs she says "iku iku", what seems to be japanese too.

also, ''Yuyi is real. If you want her to be'' - Gaga on new music video
''I can be anything, I'll be your everything'' - Government Hooker. I know this is highly unlikely but I just had to put it out there O,O
+ the MM she signed this tweet with could very well mean Marilyn Monroe!

and I KNOW she performed You and I as a mermaid, she also did for TEOG, and she said shes doing the You and I music video. i honestly think it could be Government Hooker, Bloody Mary, You and I, ahhhhhhhhhhh it could be anyone, even HML.
