Aww, this game brings back so many good memories for me. We had it for the PS1 about 20 years ago and loved it. Bought it with Tomb Raider 1. So much fun.

Slippery Climb is a great level I agree, especially when they throw those Scientist guys at the player.:laugh:

Hog Wild had me stuck for ages.:joker:

And with Sonic I still think that it's a very good series, it's just that they focused way too much on the Boom series imo when I'm much more interested in the main series personally.

Honestly the weirdest feeling I've ever had from a game... so counter-intuitive but oddly cathartic? Just an unforgettable experience start to finish tbh.



I've now got Persona 5 to start at some point, but I'm taking a break to fully digest Nier before that, so I'm mindlessly butchering Orcs in Shadow of War :joker:. It's pretty mindless, the storyline isn't very good, and mostly very easy even on hardest difficulty (especially coming off of a "V. Hard" final run on Nier) BUT there's just something so relaxing about being stupidly OP and chopping those little ****ers to pieces :think:.

i mean that’s the only fault but it’s such a huge drawback :( i’d give it a 7/10

Casual :hmph:. There are quite a few like that to be fair, there's one during the first 2b/9S Eve fight that cost me over an hour. The ending is that you run away instead of fighting Eve to go and live a quiet life or something... but, during the fight, I fell off the edge of the crater down into the bit with the save point at the very bottom, and accidentally triggered that ending :fist:. Also accidentally triggered the one at the very start of route B by going the wrong way with 9S (it says something about him deciding to forget about YoRHa and spend his life making scientific discoveries or something) and had to redo the whole "brother brother" bucket-head bit.

Worst one was playing 3 hours as A2 without dying... or saving... then getting killed only to find out that A2 doesn't have her body respawn and it's just a straight game over. :umm2:

Would do it all again though :flutter:.

I did absolutely everything in FFX on the PS2... celestial weapons, dark aeons, fully completed the monster arena etc... It took forever and I don't think I could bring myself to do it again but I would love to have the PSN trophies for it :joker:. There's no proof of my deeds, damnit! Same for FFVII, I've looked at the trophies list for the PS4 version and I'd have had all of them multiple times over back in the day... haha.

I'm sure I still have my old PSX memory card and I know I have my PS2 card (because I still have PS2 hooked up in the living room for SS Tricky* :laugh: )... maybe if I post them to Sony they'll add the trophies to my account... :worry:

Star Wars Battlefront II

The gameplay is pretty incredible, a massive upgrade from the first one. The arcade mode is a lot of fun. Not a fan of the changes made to my favourite game mode of last year, Heroes vs Villains, but it's still alright, will probably be more bearable on friday when the game gets a full release and a load of rookies are on that I can beat instead of the hardcore players that have preordered.

EA have ruined it for a lot of people with the ridiculous pay to win crap they've got going on, but the game itself is a massive improvement.

idk if it’s because i only just played asylum/city for the first time but knight is better in every way

apart from the fact that it seems a bit more gloomy/less humorous than the other 2, AND there’s no harley quinn (afaik, i’m only like 30% into the main story so shh no spoilers pls)

Arkham Knight got a bit of flak because of there being a lot of batmobile segments, but I quite enjoyed the bat mobile :shrug:. I also got PC gamer bragging rights because the game was a shambles on PC and loads of people with top of the line gaming rugs were having technical problems with it, but it ran fine for me. So I go to go on forums / steam like "Haha losers works fine 4 me ur computers sux" which I enjoyed.

However I would say on balance that City is a more polished / coherent experience, just on a smaller scale.

I... Never actually played Asylum :worry:. I've had it on Steam since 2011 :joker:.

She made Arianna Grande, married her off, made them have like 7 kids, then the kitchen went on fire and the dad died... And she was totally distraught :joker:. Like she could hardly breathe she was crying so much about it... She cried more than when her actual real life cat died. And when I tried to get at why she was so upset, she was like "SHE CAN'T RAISE EIGHT CHILDREN ON HER OWN! I got her pregnant again!!" and that was me gone. I mean it's never good to laugh when a child is upset but it was just too much.

We managed to beg the Grim Reaper and get him resurrected, and she's never played that family since because she's too scared of it happening again. Amazing.

And I've gone a bit retro recently and beat Alone In The Dark: The New Nightmare as Edward Carnby, and it was an achievement for me, I think that I'm scared to want to play as Aline. It's dated in alot of areas (mainly camera and combat issues for me) but the Game does have alot of charm to it, and it was actually scary imo and I've become quite immune to Horror Games nowadays when it comes to the scare factor.:joker:

The great thing about these types of Games is you can take a break if the grinding gets a bit much and come back at a later on date.

I'm playing Fallout 4... Again... I upgraded to a gtx 1080 and wanted to see the difference in how it would look (it looks stunning).

I've got them top of the Eastern Conference only losing to San Antonio Spurs from the Western Conference so far.

Update... this game is good, but the fatal flaw for me is the game struggles with the defending mechanic, it's fine when I've got the Bulls taking on teams who are easier to beat, but when I'm taking on teams such as San Antonio Spurs or Houston Rockets my team just can't do any basic defending, and those two teams just don't seem to miss, I don't really get what I'm suppose to be doing wrong.:laugh:

I've started playing Sega Mega Drive Classics on the PS4, and I started with the very first Sonic The Hedgehog Game and I'm in love.:flutter:

I actually beat the Game today which I've never beaten any of the Retro Sonic Games before as you obviously couldn't save on the original versions, but thankfully the PS4 port does let you save which gave me the chance to be able to beat the Game as I was absolutely shocking at it.:joker:

The hardest Zone by a mile for me was the Labyrinth Zone, I hate any zone/level in a Sonic Game that puts me underwater for large chunks of time.:joker:

there's like easy-medium-hard and then if you complete it on hard 1999 mode becomes available, but there's a cheat code you can use to unlock it from the outset so i did that haha. it's pretty difficult you die fairly easily and you can only respawn if you have at least 100 coins on you so there's limited lives (but if you pause the game quickly enough after dying you can actually just choose to 'respawn from most recent checkpoint' which mostly gets rid of the coins/limited lives issue).

i always play games on the hardest difficulties though because i normally find any other lower one to be too easy and boring!

TBH it's sort of dated and will seem even more dated after 5... the visual style of 5 is so striking, and it doesn't have any of that really. I only played about 10 hours tbf but I feel like they took everything they did right with it and amped it up to 11 for P5, so it'll feel like a step back?

I've won the Premier League in my first season with the Blues by 40 points, I've never had a season like that on a FIFA game before and I doubt that I'll replicate it again.:laugh:

And I've also started playing Sonic Boom: Rise Of Lyric today and I actually quite like the game, it's not perfect and it took me awhile to get used to some of the personality changes, and I've experienced a couple of minor glitches. However I what I quite like about it is the fact that it is a spin-off that's trying out some new game mechanics for the franchise, and I do like the fact that they tried to go for a new main villain whilst also making sure that Doctor Robotnik has a substantial role in the game too.

So yeah I'd say that there's some faults with the game, but overall I feel that it helps compliment the main series.

Still working my way through Persona but I hooked up with Ann early on and then realised that Makoto is superior but I can't cheat on poor Ann so my character is just miserable and living a lie.

Although Ann doesn't seem to care that I keep paying 5000 yen for handjobs from the teacher... So maybe she'd be cool with it? I don't think Makoto would be into it though.

Finished (and Platinum'd) Spider-man today. Yuss.

I wasn't planning on going for the platinum but I got to the final couple of missions and checked the trophies, and all I had to do (other than complete chapter 3) was 100% every district (which involved mopping up maybe 25 Street crimes which take like 1 - 2 mins each by that point), greet 10 pedestrians which you can just do in 30 seconds, and visit Uncle Ben's grave. I had done everything else like research stations, challenges and bases just through the course of the game :think:. I wanted to unlock every suit and you basically have to do all of them, and most of the street crimes, to have enough tokens. It FORCED me to get the platinum trophy, if anything.

So anyway, I can now finally start RDR on Monday :D.

FIFA World Cup Brazil for the PS3.

It's not as good a Game as LA Noire imo, but it is good fun and I'm enjoying playing as Malta who beat Italy in a match.:dance:

I'm playing Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call.

I don't normally play that many RPG's so I'm definitely getting my ass kicked.:joker:

Although I will be taking on a boss later on today after getting the Spoon off one of the Manikins in the Prison so I'm holding out hope that I'm in the second half of the game.:fc:

Great experience though, I'll never forget the levels in this game.:joker:

Mario + rabbids
Mario odyssey
Breath of the wild
Smash ultimate
Bayonetta 2
Mario kart 8 deluxe

And 3 of those are wii u titles so

so overall yes it's worth buying and there's more games coming out this year

Tropical Freeze was a disappointment imo, it had broken gameplay in my view.

Mario Kart 8 has been my favourite exclusive for the Switch, although Breath Of The Wild looks really good.
