Is it just me or is every borderlands game practically identical :skull:
I am enjoying it but it feels like it could have been released about 10 years ago

Shadow The Hedgehog - I loved this Game as a child, and I still love it now. It's story is obviously weaker than Clock Tower 3, but gameplay wise I think that I like Shadow more (although both are very good Games imo) I wish that both Games would get a re-release on the PSN, Switch, or one of the Handhelds, but sadly like a lot of Games from that generation you have to go through Emulators to be able to play these underappreciated classics.
I am however grateful to Emulators otherwise the only other way to play them is to buy a really expensive second hand PS2. Unless you're fortunate enough to have your original PS2 still working that is.
But going back to Shadow, I think that this type of Game suits his character, and hopefully there will a sequel in the works for the PS5 to shock us all.:fc:

Yeah my family has never tried the Fire Emblem games either, so I can't comment on if they're any good or not.
FFXII looked good when I saw my Brother play it a few years ago.
And after Shadow The Hedgehog I decided to play Cold Fear, the Game has/had a lot of potential to be a great Game as there's a nice amount of Action, the difficulty is reasonable (apart from the final boss) there's just enough Horror there for it to not feel like it's Horror in name only, and some of the locations look fantastic.
However I don't get how a Game like Cold Fear has such a wafer thin plot, I can get around the sometimes repetitive Gameplay, but not the story having less development than Super Mario Games ffs. I honestly don't expect every story to be fancy, but I would like a basic goal that makes sense as to why you're doing what you're doing, but Cold Fear only really establishes why you're on the Boat at the beginning of the Game really, and never really explains why Tom is still wandering around the ship by the final level.
Basically it's a good Game, but it needed a few tweaks to make it a great Game imo.
I'll be moving onto Yakuza 3 next which I won't be beating any time soon.:joker:

I've been juggling two Games over the last couple of days.
Yakuza 3 - Tbh I was very lukewarm to this Game after the first 4 chapters (although the end of Chapter 4 was strong I thought) but once we actually started to get away from the Orphanage and more into why most people actually play Yakuza Games for is when I've really been getting into the Game. I respect that Sega were trying to do something different with the Orphanage idea, but personally I'd have had some of the content as Substory content rather than being plonked into the main story mode. Chapters 5-9 have been fantastic though, having Majima, Date, and The Florist turn back up has been fantastic imo. And the Substories have been fantastic as usual for me.
Bound By Flame - I know that this Game gets unfavourably compared with the Dragon Age Games, but I've personally liked the bits that I've played of it so far, it looks like it's on a reasonably small budget, but I think that Spiders have done well considering I've never heard of the Studio before. They've got an interesting world that could be really fantastic with a bigger budgeted sequel imo. Also I already like Randval's character.

I've finally beaten Yakuza 3.
Tbf the Game wasn't actually that difficult, but I loved the Substories too much to actually just go ahead and beat the Game.:joker: The only real complaints from me was the over focus on the Orphanage stuff towards the beginning of the Game, and the annoying Haruka stuff in Chapter 10, other than that I really enjoyed the other aspects of the Game.
And Bound By Flame is surprisingly quite good imo, especially considering what Metacritic scores the Game. It's not perfect by any means (Sybil's quite dull, and the characters in general need a little bit more development) but considering it was on a small budget I do think that they've made most of the characters likeable or interesting when they are being used, they have a lead character with an actual personality unlike some stories, and most of the locations look visually interesting imo, almost like something out of The Witcher from what I've seen of that Game.

I've been wrestling with the gamma and brightness and quite a few games look sort of washed out in the distance. Other than that I wouldn't say I particularly rate the visuals anyway - they're good, but nothing earth shattering or new. The main innovation over other FPS is the gameplay really. I think I described it earlier as being "like a roller-coaster" and that's the best way I can think to describe it. A fast, gory roller-coaster :joker:.

You're a Japanese Samurai during the first Mongol invasion of Japan, and it starts off as you're about to get into a big battle where they basically wipe us out, then it's a big revenge story, basically. But the combat and upgrade systems are very RPG and work really well, and the story is great. It's like a cross between Assassin's Creed and The witcher.

Funnily enough Ghost of Tsushima is the next game I have lined up to play, but I can't tell you what it's like yet, having not played it yet. I still have to finish TLOU2, I can't play it with the kids around because the zombies re too scary so I'm crawling through it at a rate of about 45 mins to an hour per evening :umm2:. I think I'm FAIRLY close to the end, though.
I'm also considering getting P5 Royal because my youngest was happy enough to watch Persona 5 first time round, so I can be a great dad & employee and play it all day on the sly instead of doing boring stuff like parenting and working .

You are probably right. Maybe someone of a mixture of both, an option to choose between live action play and move & pause & strategize action & aim & execute or somehow make the pause & strategize action & execute format more fluid and quicker to accomplish.
But tbh Vagrant Story would work as an Action RPG without the MPSAE as the only thing separating it from an Action RPG nowadays would be the MPSAE system, I imagine. It would fit right in, I imagine.
I've never played Dark Souls sadly.

The Sinking City - It's basically Sherlock Holmes in it's gameplay with the setting of Silent Hill, the Game itself also sights H.P Lovecraft's work as inspiration for the Game.
For me it's been a fantastic Game with an interesting world to explore, the only complaint for me would be the combat is a bit broken imo, the camera in particular jerks around when trying to shoot the monsters. But thankfully the Game is mainly about investigating the weird crimes in Oakmont where there's not much fighting to be done.

I just finished Far Cry 5 and I am SHOOK.
I played it on release and had done like 80% of the main plot but never finished it... I fired it up because I wanted a shooter to test my new 165hz GSYNC monitor (was getting about 110 - 125 fps, it looks amazing, I've never seen over 60fps before because of screen limitations)
ANYWAY. I got playing and just... kept playing missions and ended up finishing it. Turns out I was only 3-4 hours from the end.
I have somehow made it this far from 2018 without having the ending spoilered. WHAT. I ****ing loved it too, I knew something similar was coming (because you catch little bits of news on the car radios sometimes) but it was pretty epic.
Spend the whole game fighting against the crazy doomsday cult that says the world is going to end... finally take out the leader... and then the bombs start dropping and the world ends :joker:. Game ends on crazy cult leader saying "lol I woz right". Ahhh.
Anyway it's got me in a first-person-shooter mood so now I'm going to play through the Metro games, which I've had in my steam library for years and never looked at.

Ended up playing through the FC5 sequel "New Dawn". I really enjoyed it but I get why people complained about it on release - it's very short for a Far Cry game and I have no idea how they got away with charging full price for it. It feels somewhere between a full release and a very large DLC. I actually liked the size of it to be fair, much tighter pacing and didn't take long to play through. But yeah, I don't think they should have been charging more than £25-£30 for it. I finished it in about 25 hours and that included all of the optional "level style" missions, treasure hunts etc.
Interestingly there were quite a few big set piece parts (a demolition Derby, a stealth section in the old prison, etc) and some puzzly elements that aren't usually in Far Cry games. I hope that's something they're carrying on into FC6. It was a very welcome change from the usual Ubisoft "capture lots of map markers and that's it" approach.

Playing Rimworld on PC and I am a bit addicted. It's an indie... Colony builder, I suppose? The emergent gameplay is amazing though. I had a little colony of just 4 people, but it was all going great, between them all the major tasks were covered and I was self-sufficient. But then three refugees turned up and asked if they could stay for 30 days and they'd work for room & board so I said yes... After about 10 days they sprung their trap! Pulled guns they had stashed and tried to take over the colony! I managed to kill two and capture one (he's now locked up in a cell half dead but I want to indoctrinate him because he has good skills), but my doctor is badly injured now and... There's no other colonist with decent med training so I don't know what's going to happen to her :omgno:. The guy who does all the cooking is also injured bad and we're out of prepped food, surviving on raw potatoes. AND we're in the middle of a week long lightning storm.
It's so dramatic :worry:
AND one of them killed the pet hare :(. So now poor bunny is in a freezer incase we run out of taters :umm2:

We got raided again and my guy who is (supposedly) good at shooting was firing at a raider... And one of my other guys ran in from out of nowhere with a knife, and was shot in the leg by friendly fire. Now he has sepsis and we're out of proper modern medkits so my doc is trying to help him with natural medicine we grew in the garden :worry:. It's touch and go...
Honestly this game looks so simple (top down 2d strategy) but it has a ridiculous amount of depth :joker:. I also had a guy have a nervous breakdown because he's in withdrawals from drugs (I'm trying to get him clean) and another colonist turned down his advances and he just lost it and wrecked the pool table :hmph:. And then the next day, he had the cheek to have a -5 on his mood modifiers because the Rec room is "lacking"! U wot mate?? Everyone loved it when it had a pool table!

currently started over with Telltale GoT (shame its second season plans had been cancelled thx to that mess over at Telltale)
i very much like playing this, also the ''you might think one thing, but you must say another'' got me hooked, i mean thx to knowing the series, i know you need to lie sometimes not to get someone angry or against you
Going for the Plat on FFX and FFX-2, ****ing lightning dodge trophy will probably do me in though,
already done FF7, FF8, and FF15 plats and nothing is anything as challenging as the lightning dodge trophy on there
the ff9 skipping one is a nightmare as well actually along with the speed run trophy
Just starting Breath of the Wild.. I started it before and got really into it but then **** happened and I lost interest , so I’ve started afresh.

No Encounters booster makes the FFIX speedrun trophy a joke to get. It's essentially the Excalibur II trophy - which was possible (but difficult) to get on original PSX with no boosters, so with encounters off you can do it in 3/4 that time or less no problem. The key is quick bursts of grinding levels in good grinding areas and skipping ALL other random battles.

I never had an issue with the FFX lightning strikes, though. The timing window is fairly forgiving IIRC - the challenge really is in not losing concentration.

It borrows bits and pieces of better games I guess. It feels like Dragon Age, or Witcher 3, or parts of each, and some other games, except with less polish. Basically I'd say... If you loved Witcher 3 or Dragon Age Inquisition you might like it. If you didn't you definitely won't. And if you haven't played them... Play them instead because they're better games :joker:

Is Abby actually well written?
I've always hesitated to get the Game because she sounds like a female Negan from TWD based off her description, but is the storyline executed better?
She's easily one of the best written characters in the game and the game is one of the best written of the generation. She's certainly nothing like Negan, other than... Well... That One Fing Wot Happens. She's the secondary protagonist - she isn't the villain, despite what the Internet will try to tell you (because of Joel bias) :p.
Either way, honestly, if you have a PS4 it's not one to skip... It's a defining game of the PS4 era whether you like all of the characters or not. Even purely tech wise... It's the pinnacle of what the PS4 hardware can do.
My ONLY criticism would be that one or two of the "twists" are a little predictable, and the games run time feels slightly long and almost like it should have ended slightly earlier... BUT from a gamer standpoint, that's made up for by the fact that some of the best level design in the game is in the very last area.

Fair enough, it's just I was worried that she was gonna get fan fiction writing so it's held me back from buying the game, even though I really loved the first game.

I Am Setsuna - It's my 2nd day playing the Game and I've got to be honest I feel deeply disappointed in the Game.
Considering it gets compared heavily to Final Fantasy X, I was expecting something more epic and interesting with a more interesting set of characters than what the Game actually has imo.
I'm gonna try and give it one more day, especially as a new party member named Julienne has just turned up in the Game, but for me there's a few things that need to improve for my tastes.
1. Setsuna needs to have realistic responses to what's going on around her, they try to have her be unrealistically perfect which makes the character annoying and boring imo.
2. On a more subjective note I find the locations to be very repetitive, it's all just Snowy landscapes that all look largely similar to one another. A bit of variety in location design wouldn't have hurt the Game.
3. Aeterna is largely not really necessary to the Game after the beginning segments of the Game, her plot has just dried up completely.
4. The Battle System is generic, I can actually get around this tbf if it's still acceptable (which it is) but it's still a flaw in the Game for me, it's just a minor one.
5. As someone that loves villainy in my fiction this Game is really scarce in it's usage of it's villains. Again it's a subjective complaint but it really bugs me when fiction decides to just ignore having a Rogue Gallery.
Ndir is a strong character though, it's a shame that I can't just pluck him out of the Game and put him in a Game that's actually good.
Btw before it's fans think that I'm being really harsh, I'm not normally that picky on Video Games (I've even liked Games that have been panned by critics) and I have liked Indie Games so I'm not being a snob, but to me this Game is poorly made.

I'm playing a round of Civ6 using the "proper starting places" map of Europe, as Scotland obviously.
Its weird, Britain is basically inverted (Scotland heavily built up, the South of England mostly farmland) and I've taken all of England, Portugal, Spain and France as Scotland (Dublin Ireland is an independent city but they're basically a vassal state)... However, France moved east and took all of The Netherlands, Germany and up into Scandinavia. So Scotland and France are the only major players still on the board, but France isn't in... France...
Some weird religion I've never heard from is spreading out from "France" real hard and making me nervous, though. They're way behind me in tech so I might just nuke 'em.

I've finished I Am Setsuna - The Game definitely gets better, I do have issues in certain areas without giving away any spoilers, but overall it does get a lot better than the really bad beginning imo.
My rankings of the characters in the party.
1. Nidr
2. Julienne - Her Story is really good actually, a surprise package considering she's the Princess character and they don't normally appeal to me.
3. Aeterna
4. Kir
5. Fides
6. Endir
7. Setsuna - Not my kinda character really. But her writing does suffer from being completely unrealistically goody-goody, and as she obviously has the main plot of the Game, she tanks the Game pretty hardcore imo.
I've also started playing Luigi's Mansion 3 which has been fantastic so far, but I love Luigi anyway.:joker:

I honestly recommend anyone interested in classic gaming (if they have room, lol) picking up and old 4:3 CRT telly to play on, it just looks much better when played "as intended"... The old assets in the cold light of day on an HD screen... Is just not flattering :worry:.
If you play on a PC emulator or whatever there are decent "CRT simulating" post-processibf options these days. I dunno why they don't build those into the various -mini consoles, other than that maybe it takes too much processing power to be cost effective.

I'm actually really enjoying it. It's extremely light-hearted and easy to pick up/put down, the gameplay mechanics are tight as a drum and fun, and I actually really enjoy the silly "narration" from Zeus and Prometheus. Having a lot of fun with it... more than I did with BOTW to be totally honest.

Well they've pretty much done away with the story altogether for this one. It's not really an AC game - it's a viking RPG. The only link to AC is that you have one living in you settlement who gives you targets to kill and some pretty cool rewards for doing so.

Fenyx is a spin off of AC odyssey, made by the same teams.
You'll need to stick with it on hard, otherwise it does gets really easy, and after a while, any sense of danger is pretty much removed bar some of the ancient order/zealots/daughters of lerion boss fights.
What have you done with the L1 attacks/defence?

Yeah I switched it to default for that very first boss-ish fight in the longhouse (the guy that has your daddy’s axe) and it totally changed the fight - on hard it was playing like a tutorial for how to block, dodge and parry and on regular... you didn’t have to do any of that it was just hammering the attack button until he died. Boring. That was when I switched the controls to something resembling what I did with Fenyx and reloaded and all has been well since then.
I left L1 alone strangely enough, that hasn’t been a problem. IIRC in Fenyx I still have Parry on L1 + R1 and it’s worked well. I do actually need to finish that game too, I was like 75% complete and maxed out character but I got bogged down on one of the puzzles and quit, was trying to complete each area 100% one by one but I might go back to it and finish the main quest line. I found it pretty entertaining - much more irreverent than the AC series, Zeus’ voiceover commentary steals the show.

As an update on this: It let me continue my save on the PC totally fine, I got all the fun "ultimate edition" gear and stuff... but it wouldn't let me continue from that save on the PS5 :oh:. And now it won't let me cloud save AT ALL on PS5 . Luckily I only had a poke around to look at the graphics differences and look at the gear (which I now can't have!) for 5 mins.
In other news it runs (significantly) better on PS5 than my PC which makes me sort of sad. It's the first time it's really felt obvious that the unavailability of the RTX 30 series cards is becoming an issue. The GTX1080 I have can't handle next (current) gen graphics and I think PC gaming is going to be pretty much obsolete for the time being for those of us who can't get a decent card.
It's even worse than the console shortage - there's the same problems with scalpers, and component supply line issues, but also on top of that there's the damn bitcoin miners :fist:.

I did like the location of Ireland, and the fact it was based around Irish mythology, but jeez. I just spent 100 hrs finishing the main game at least give me something different to do.
Had to kill this little minx though :smug:

I swear Video Game Companies need to try and find a way of making their Games cheaper to make so that the consumer doesn't have to end up paying such ridiculous prices on one Game.
Rant aside I have heard nothing but good things about the Game, I don't have it myself though so I can't verify if it's any good or not.

To be fair... if you're willing to wait a year you'll never pay full price, and most games will come up at 50% or less at some point. The very high prices are only if you want to buy brand new on release.

I've just started playing Crash 4: It's About Time today.
So far I'm loving the Game (but then again I am a Crash Bandicoot stan lol) but it's nice to play a new Platformer that's actually challenging again (but not feeling impossible) because even though I enjoy Games like Sonic Forces, Sonic Boom: Rise Of Lyric & the Knack series, I do love it when a new Platform Game comes out and is reasonably challenging, it's why I loved Sonic Mania so much as well.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon
I’m interested in concept, there has been an awful lot of just running around and dialogue cutscenes so far though... it’s an odd one and I’m not really sure what’s going on :joker:. Controls are slightly clunky, too.
I sort of feel like it could go either way with whether or not I get into it?

finished first ep of Telltale TWD season 1 today
it is really true you get connected to some of the characters
as for some of the ''choices''
i left Clem's house/treehouse when it became dark, so i encountered Shawn, officer Mitchell, i immediately just was honest ''just some guy'' rather than pretending Clem to be my daughter etc, honesty is always better
and as for saving either Carley or Doug, i chose Carley idk why but i felt like she had better chances at survival if i handed her the bullets, rather than Doug whom was already being pulled out of the window
i sided with Kenny, Katjaa, Duck against Larry because it didn't feel right how Larry was reacting towards Duck of course understandable how people react to possible ''walker bites'' also Larry is one hot head, damn also how he would leave me to die with a walker ew

ok start of episode 2
choices choices urgh
the limited food i gave Clem, Duck, Kenny, Lilly the food, but again Larry angry at me for not giving an ''old man'' some food
the St Johns well ok that does seem a little too good to be true but ok they seem good around guns and defeating walkers
Nicky91
23-06-2021, 12:47 PM
finished with episode 2 of TWD season 1
soooo i didn't let Clem eat some of the human meat, just in time
i didn't kill Danny, since i knew he was already stuck in one of those traps, and most likely walker food
i shot Andy, more because he deserved it since cannibalism ways are wrong, and he was also one of responsible for Larry's death
i sided with Lilly in wanting to help Larry rather than siding with Kenny to finish him off
and i stole food, supplies, hoodie for Clem from abandoned car

Started Ghost of Tush on PS5 - it is literally a 10x better game than on PS4. I found it clunky and unplayable and gave up on PS4… it is a silky smooth 60fps on PS5, loads more responsive which makes basically everything from parrying/dodging to archery feel so much better, and also fast travel load times are basically instantaneous.
The cutscenes look incredible at 4K 60fps also, it’s the best-looking thing I’ve seen on the PS5 thus far and it’s not even a PS5 game!

Absolutely loving Ghost of Tea I have to say, it’s easily the best open world game I’ve played in years. The combat is so well done and fluid, and there have so far already been numerous epic moments that are actually only side quests.
Also Ubi needs to take note because the stealth mechanics are so much better than in AC and… really… there’s no excuse for a game called Assassin’s Creed having poor stealth. I enjoyed Valhalla but it was mostly fun playing a rampaging brute of a Viking mashing heads with two axes. The stealth is pretty abysmal.

this level is driving me insane, i mean you ''have to be fast'' with shooting these bandits, but i never am a fast gamer
maybe i need to take out the ones who try to flank me first, first that danger of me, and then the remaining one
tbh as for walkers it helps i saved Carley instead of Doug earlier
so these bandits are the trickiest part for me

Hmmm, I may well upgrade for the extra gameplay content. Haptic triggers would have been nice too. On the technical stuff though, the PS4 version already runs at flawless 4k 60fps on PS5 (it’s legitimately the best looking game I’ve seen on PS5 and it’s not even a PS5 release) and fast travel load times are effectively zero (one or two seconds). So some of the advertised upgrades of this version are not actually down to the version, they’re just how the base game runs on the upgraded hardware.

I saw today in the PS store that it's 15.99 for the full directors cut upgrade, or it'll be £9.99 from the 4 to 5 upgrade, so at that price, it's pretty much a no-brainer to go for the directors cut. I agree with you how beautiful the game is. That first playthrough when it gets to the uncle tutorial - I was just blown away - even on the 4 pro.

Just be hostile to the love interest in Season 3 Nicky and then you're well away.
I've played the first Luigi's Mansion Game on the 3DS and it is a decent Game, but I'm sorry the difficulty is far too high for my tastes (and I say that as someone that's beaten SMT: Nocturne & San Andreas) so I'm not a wimp when it comes to difficult Video Games.
However the level that beat me lasted over 40 minutes with no checkpoints, aggressive enemies, finding Mario's items which can be frustrating, and then the actual boss fight with Boo had clunky as hell controls and it ended up killing me.
Basically if Nintendo do a version of Luigi's Mansion that actually has a checkpoint at that level then I'd give the Game another chance as all of the levels that I'd played are actually well made, but to me there's a difference between difficult and then being unreasonable, and sadly Luigi's Mansion has fallen into the unreasonable camp for me.
I've also been replaying FIFA 12 which was fun to play.

I'm not entirely convinced that save data will transfer between FFVII remake entries. I hope it does, to make it feel like a more cohesive "single long game" once all parts are released, but I feel like it's going to start over as pseudo-level-1 just with a more powerful "base level" to reflect the experience gained in the first game.
I feel this is especially likely given that it's apparently a bit of a headache to transfer the PS4 save data for it to the PS5 version... you basically have to install the PS4 version before you get the PS5 version, go into the game menu, upload the save to PSN, quite, completely delete the PS4 version data, THEN get the PS5 version, and download the save from PSN. If you do it in the wrong order you can't downgrade from PS5 version to PS4 version to access the save file .
So... it's not been designed in a way that particularly has me thinking they'll be carrying over the data. The vast majority who played part 1 on PS4 simply won't have access to that data on PS5 (which presumably, most people will be playing part 2 on, if there even is a PS4 version).

i so wish telltale would still exist, since their games i find fab, and i think there were still so much more series/movies they would've been able to make also episodic adventure genre out of (like i think Alien franchise would've worked better with Telltale, or Spiderman, or a game based upon Riverdale would also been nice, for you to interact with some of main characters but still your own storyline)

I’m still on Ghost of Tush, taking my time and not getting huge amounts of time to play (and I got distracted by an epic Stellaris campaign for a couple of weeks). Also I got the PS5 upgrade and it was buggy as **** for the first week- I was a bit worried - it was having loading issues . menu elements taking ages to pop in was the first sign but the main issue was that it drastically affected AI pathing and NPC positions. In short, enemies couldn’t pathfind properly and we’re getting hilariously stuck in random places, but worse than that, they weren’t “physically” where they seemed to be. Sword would go right through them. There was also a split second delay in their combat animation vs the actual hit which made dodging and parrying - basically the pillars of the combat system - nearly impossible.
They did patch it relatively quickly, thankfully.
Anyway I am now playing through the new island before finishing The main game… once you start it you have to finish it, the enemies are tougher than main game, and you get a tonne of new abilities. I feel like I’m going to be arriving back in the main game massively OP :joker:.

It’s not just about speed, you need to brake before you hit the corner, keep a STEADY speed through the turn, then accelerate away. If you’re braking OR accelerating as you turn you’ll be likely to understeer and leave the track when you exit the corner. This applies in all driving aims (and in real life) so worth remembering . Though IRL you really shouldn’t be cornering at racing speeds very often (or ever) :umm2:.

something i've done many times now :worry:
my speed sometimes is too fast, i don't know when i must use brake for the corner, turn
the steering with the ps4 controller, joystick is quite decent i guess, i'm starting to learn how you steer, that you must keep pushing joystick in the direction you want to go

shame i DNF'd in the race, but i couldn't do anything about that, i ended up having gotten lapped when i needed to repair my car after the start because of stupid Ocon when i tried to go in a turn he showed up out of nowhere and we collided and i got the blame and a penalty :fist: then i got yellow flagged i had to go in pit lane again to get behind the other cars and safety car, but i bumped into slow driving Vettel because they of course were slower behind safety car and i was catching up to them, so after that collision my nose flew off again, and i spinned out of the track :idc:
my team mate Nissany was driver of the day though so at least one positive out of that mess of a race

i hate Spain track, some of those corners are so difficult, i had to box twice too, since i felt like those hard tyres weren't good so i switched back to inters
at least i finished the race, unlike Ocon, Vettel the only DNF's

I need a new game, I finished Ghost of Tsu-tsu and I haven’t found a replacement yet :worry:. I was waiting for Far Cry 6 but I play first person games on PC and within the next couple of weeks I’m going to at some point be bed-bound (for up to four bloody weeks). PS5 is getting brought upstairs but PC gaming will be out for a month :(

What kinda Game are you looking for?
My personal recommendations.
Home Sweet Home if you're looking for a good Survival Horror experience.
Berserk And The Band Of The Hawk if you want a really fun Hack And Slash Game. And the story covers the general ball park of the Manga too, so it's a good entry point for potential new fans of the franchise.
Also Tales Of Arise has been a really fun JRPG.
Oh and if you're looking for a Platformer then I recommend Crash 4: It's About Time.
And my final recommendation is for Mafia III if you want a Mobster GTA type of Game. It has a great story, and imo I think that it's one of my favourite Mobster Games of all time controversially.
But yeah hopefully you get a speedy recovery TS.

I got the Ultimate Edition of Spider-man Miles Morales and I'm playing through the Spider-man Remaster right now. Enjoying it just as much as the first time, and it's brilliant at 60fps, I'm probably going to platinum it again :joker:. Nu Peter takes some getting used to but I don't mind it as much as some people seem to... he has a mask on 99% of the time so it's kind of an irrelevant change.
I never got around to the DLC's on PS4 so will be doing those this time, then playing through Miles Morales.

I’ve been playing FIFA 22 and tbh it’s been crap so I’ve gone back to playing Warzone cos they had the Halloween event which was actually pretty decent.
I’m unsure whether to get COD Vanguard or not? I might just wait and see what the reviews are saying.

FIFA hasn't been that good since FIFA 12 imo.
If you want a good Football game I'd recommend Inazuma Eleven, it has RPG elements too, just to warn you because I know some people don't like RPG's.

i've discovered the swapping teams function on FIFA 21
so i've re-organised some leagues more my fantasy way now
i got Hamburger SV, and i LITERALLY bought Harry Kane for 194 million :o :o :o
i also bought John Fleck and Noussair Mazraoui
i also got Hannover 96 back into top division where for me they belong
in spain i placed Espanyol, Real Zaragoza, Real Mallorca back into top divisions of la liga either
Auxerre back into top division of france
i placed Brentford, Norwich City, Middlesbrough into premier league level instead of west brom, burnley, sheffield united

I finally finished this Game a couple of days ago.
A great Game like most Yakuza Games tbh, the story for Makoto's side of the story gets a bit too messy for my tastes by the end, but for the most part the story was intriguing.
There is a lot to do in the Game as well, basically if you want to take a break from the main Story you can do Substories, Karaoke, Scalextric (what memories) and Catfighting (attractive women wrestling each other not animal abuse) plus loads more.
Overall I score this Game a 9/10, for my personal taste I enjoyed Berserk: Band Of The Hawk more out of what I've played recently, but Yakuza 0 is a great Game like Tales Of Arise & Little Nightmares II imo.

I loved it and did multiple play throughs :joker:. It’s definitely a much more action-oriented game though, especially on repeat playthroughs with infinite ammo etc.
But yeah I played it to death - I did a 2.5 hour knife only/no crafting/no healing playthrough (to get various trophies all in one run) which was quite fun, I don’t often do speedruns.

In fairness I get why you or anyone else that likes the Game would like the Game, I think for me personally I really hate the actual open world Village segments, and I personally feel like at the moment there's not many elements of the Game in gameplay or story that screams that it's a Resident Evil Game imo.

Although I've gotta give the House Beneviento section a lot of credit, that was a really good level.
The Game definitely has it's moments, and I give it credit for experimenting with the Resi 7 formula, but overall I think the experimentation is where this Game has developed issues for me.
In particular the "mapping" on this Game is atrocious, fair enough if the developers didn't want to put markers on the map to point you to your destination, but making certain areas of the Game where everything looks alike so you're spending hours just trying to find your next objective is seriously frustrating imo.
For me it's a massive step up on Home Sweet Home 2 out of my recent Horror experiences, but compared to the other Resi Games, Village is my worst.

To be fair I can't remember if this was the case on my first playthrough, I know the map like the back of my hand now :joker:. A big criticism would be that on repeat plays there are sections that are hilariously easy, e.g. the lake/swamp (there are basically no enemies so you can just go from objective to objective once you know where they are - and the boss fight there is ridiculously easy) and also things like the Wolf stronghold, which seem hard, but you can actually just ... run past everything and out the other end in each section , in about 20 seconds flat - nothing follows you out so it doesn't matter how many are chasing you.

Tbf I imagine replays are easier with the Game once you know the outline of where everything is.

Before going on topic, if there are any Ukranians using this Forum, I sincerely hope that you can underdog this and crush Putin, not only is he a war criminal, but he has made his country a disgrace in it's current position that it's in.
I am honestly really angry about this topic, I'm really trying to be careful what I say though as I honestly don't hate Russia or the regular people, but I seriously hope that some karma comes Putin's way and that he somehow gets forced to resign, but I sadly don't see that happening.
Anyway back on topic to more fun stuff.
I tried playing the first Dark Souls a few days ago, and I still can't get the hang of that particular type of Game. I think I've just reached my limit of what I can and can't do in Video Gaming when it comes to that thing.:joker:
It's a well made Game though.
And then much more in my comfort zone I've been playing Primal, which is an old PS2 Game that let's you play as Jen (who's Human) and sexy to boot, and Scree who looks like a Gargoyle to me, but I might be wrong in saying that.
Basically it's a fun Game imo, it has two good characters imo (four if you count the two characters on Jen's chest) but being serious two good characters, a surprisingly strong story, and a decent combat and puzzles.
The only real negative that I have with the Game is the awful navigation in the Underwater stage of the Game, I never understand it when a Game makes everything in a particular zone look the same.
But overall a really fun Game imo.
I hope that everyone has been doing okay lately.

Yeah i reckon it probably did tbh. COD was really starting to gain popularity around that time. Anyone who likes FPS' should give this game a look though. Some people say it's a bit short, maybe it could have done with one more level, but i think it's great. And the look of it is amazing for a PS2.

I'm currently playing Persona 4 over the last few days.
I've done the first three dungeons so far, the plot might surprisingly be more interesting than Persona 5 (which had a really fun plot itself) the cast is mostly good (I do feel like Yukiko has been dropped since completing her Dungeon though) but I really like Yousuke & Kanji as characters, and Chie is displaying the best personality of the girls so far imo, even if her voice is unique sometimes.:joker:
And the gameplay is not as in depth as Persona 5 imo, but it's opening up more and more which is good, and the battle system as usual for the SMT/Persona franchise has the right level of challenge without being like the Souls Games, or being in baby mode on the other spectrum of difficulty.

I've got to say that this Game is fantastic.
Controversially I might actually prefer Persona 4 to Persona 5, it's very close imo, but I really am enjoying the story and just the overall atmosphere of Persona 4.
Both are fantastic Games though, I don't know who the killer is (so please don't spoil it to me) but I'm guessing that the killer is Adachi as his function in the story whilst it can be fun in a goofy way, there isn't really any real reason why he has been added into the Game imo as other characters can easily fit his role, unless he is the killer.
Plus I find it odd that he is the only character that's not really ever put in danger in the Game, or ever really delved into his darker thoughts so far.
I am a little bit suspicious of Yousuke & Chie though as they've never been attacked by the killer either, and Chie was the first character to mention about The Midnight Channel in the Game.
And Yousuke was so adamant that we kill the guy that was trying to save the people that he was putting through the TV it kinda felt like he wanted to cover his own tracks.
Brilliant Game though, it has the right balance between Comedy and darker material.

I found I couldn't really get into Persona 4... I gave it a good try but I think it lacking the visual styling of 5 made it seem a bit dull in comparison.
I've started on Horizon Forbidden West, I'm enjoying it but (so far anyway) I don't think the machine varieties are as interesting as Zero Dawn, and the sense of discovery isn't the same, but that's inevitable I guess since you're not "going in blind" as with the first game.

Yeah Persona 4 is definitely going for a different vibe to Persona 5.
It's one of them Games imo where it builds up more and more, compared to Persona 5 which I think anyone with an ounce of fun to them can enjoy imo.

I personally just don't really like Games where you're bombarded with tons of enemies, it's why I've never really liked the Souls series either, despite the Berserk aesthetic.:bawling:
