I have beat Mafia: Definitive Edition.

It's a brilliant Game imo, this franchise is mad underrated as it has fun combat and really good storytelling.

This Game in particular just builds and builds from it's more humble beginnings.

And the ending is really clever if you've already played Mafia II.

I’m playing online atm, haven’t got around to the story mode yet. Luckily I’ve still got all my data so nothing was lost yesterday but I have to reinstall all the games that were on my extended storage onto my ps4 (which is impossible since the PS has such crap storage).

I like the hunting and crafting aspects of this game. It allows you to be more involved and have to actually think about things that you do in game. GTA kinda holds your hand and guides you where I feel this game mainly doesn’t and I quite like that about this game.

I’m now a distinguished bounty hunter on Red Dead Online and I’ve been making good progress as a collector too.

One thing that was annoying tho was that I found a treasure map with the treasure being located in the Bluewater Marsh area of the game. It was on one of the small islands in the swamp area and loads of little red enemy dots kept appearing on the radar whilst I went through the water with my horse.

Bruh I got to the treasure, collected everything, turned on eagle eye and I was literally surrounded by alligators and I didn’t even realise I had been swimming with them to get to the treasure. :laugh:

I am playing a very experimental Game for myself at the moment called Fallen Girl - Black Rose And The Fire Of Desire.

Post the GL experience of Fallen Girl - Black Rose And The Fire Of Desire, I tried out two different Games.

God Of War 2018 - I only did a few hours of this as it bored the living daylights out of me, seriously there was more depth in a puddle, than what I got from this Game.

Even Kratos was boring, I couldn't believe it when I disliked everything about the Game nearly.

And my next Game was....


Final Fantasy X - Now this Game went a lot better for me than God Of War 2018 (thanks to the plot and characters actually being interesting and well written.) But I still had my flaws with the Game.

My biggest two were.

1. Not being able to skip cutscenes when you've been killed in a boss fight, and you just want to quickly have another rematch with the boss fight, but instead you're having to go through monologues that you've already experienced. In particular it broke me on the final boss as I am not going through all of what that entails, just to have my rematch with the final boss.

2. The battle system just gets too grindy and annoying to use by the end of the Game.

The story though is really strong, it's FFX's saving grace imo.

i've began with a new game for Fallout 4

this time as the male character, which i named Rick Grant (good choice of name for someone with a military background i think)


i needed to start over, since i made some messes in my previous saves LOL, i made Nick Valentine disappear (i had him at Far Harbor at Longfellow's Cabin but due to updates i had to reinstall those add-ons and start over and Nick kinda disappeared into nothingness haha some weird glitch)


i'm also gonna ignore most of main quest line now, first to gain more experience, increasing my health bars and ap bars enough so i am well prepared to take on fort hagen and the many many synths, i also need lots of fusion cells then, and also a mini-nuke if possible


now i also paid attention at tutorial for how to throw grenades equip grenade hold and release R1


i made it safely into diamond city (although i first ran in the wrong direction thx to that radiation storm i couldn't see where i was going and i ran into super mutants who blew me into tiny bits :skull:) gonna need Piper as my companion still though (even though not on main quest line) some extra firepower can never hurt and i need dogmeat to remain safe in sanctuary hills although he can also respawn whenever he gets into trouble against enemies so

I finished playing Lollipop Chainsaw: RePop a couple of days ago.

It was a short but very sweet Game, it's probably one of the most fun Games that I have played this year.

The length could've done with being slightly longer though, but nothing too drastic tbf.

And there shouldn't be a censored mode, which is essentially what the RePop mode is.

It should be the uncensored version only, but I'm gathering that Sony were pushing being dullards onto the company that makes Lollipop Chainsaw.:bored:

But basically play the original mode is my advice, it's really fun.

i am still in the lead for the drivers championship

but i am now having to get me some grid penalties though, new components which are very much needed, especially my engine, turbo charger whom were on their last fumes in Qatar

Stellar Blade - I am really liking the Game.

In particular the boss fights are really a big selling point for me, and the Sci-Fi aesthetic as I do love my Sci-Fi stuff.:laugh:

And the story is much better than I was expecting, that's two different Soulslike Games that have told much better stories than I was expecting for that type of Game.

And if women in South Korea look like Eve (or even a quarter of the way there) then I want to go on holiday there.:dance::joker:

Astro Bot - It's a really fun throwback to 90's 3D Platformers.

I don't think that it's better than Stellar Blade imo (not even close) so I do disagree with the Game Awards on that opinion.

But taking the Game on it's own merits, it is a fun Game that Sony should definitely be trying to recreate more often with their own in house Games imo.

It's a solid 8/10 experience.

The cons:

- Terrible pacing.

- Mostly unlikable characters.

- Boring gameplay

- Why oh why can't the West seem to make normal/average looking women in their Video Games these days? they say that they want to be more realistic with their depictions of women, but having them look like She-Beasts is not how most women look.

I think that it's really concerning that fillers on lips is deemed attractive at Supermassive Games tbh, plus she did look more scary than the enemies in the Game imo.

I keep daring modern western Video Games to make a female character look attractive (because they do exist irl) plus Asian countries are able to do it, so the West can definitely do it.

But I suppose when they're struggling to do a more average looking woman, what hope do you have of them going one better?

And not to derail my other points too much, but the reason as to why everyone is playing the Game should've happened by the end of the first chapter imo, at worst the start of the second.

I nearly got to the halfway point of the Game, but the unlikability of most of the characters (especially Emma and Jacob) broke my spirit tbh.

I did like Dylan and Ryan though, just to add something positive about my experience with the Game.

I’m still carrying on with Red Dead Online. I’m a fully fledged Bounty Hunter and Collector and now I’ve moved onto being a Naturalist. The lady who gives the missions (Harriett I think her name is?) gets really angry if I kill animals (Wtf am I supposed to do if I’ve got a giant grizzly bear running towards me? Blow him kisses or something?) but she’s ok with me killing humans?

The missions are actually quite fun tho. It’s good to just explore on this game and just come across random events.

I've started playing Forspoken.

I'm 4 chapters in so far and I don't really see the issue with the Game really.:laugh:

I feel like Forspoken (like Stellar Blade) have both been caught in a culture war between the far right and far left (because both sides are so petulant they can't just enjoy a Video Game without bringing politics into it) because to me Stellar Blade was a fantastic Game that should be celebrated for it's quality, rather than attacked for any of it's qualities that it brought to the table imo.

And Forspoken has had a fun start so far, in particular I really like the pacing of the Game as it never feels like it is having any lag in the gameplay or the story, even the side quests are giving out strong lore and worldbuilding imo, which good writing like that should be being celebrated more than it currently is in the Video Game community imo.

The combat is fun, and I controversially don't mind the dialogue, but then I don't mind Marvel humour so that probably helps.:laugh:

And I know some of the reasons as to why Forspoken gets bashed by some people aren't always down to some of the other controversies that I have listed, but anyone having an issue with an Isekai Fantasy Game having a black woman leading the Game is where I just personally withdraw support to that particular political group, because they don't seem to want to judge Frey as an actual character, which I take a huge issue with personally.

And I know that some of the right leaning groups will talk about how Joheady looks in the Game, but it's one ****ing character that looks that way (at least so far anyway) it would only be an issue (imo) if every female (or male character) were being made to look not so attractive shall we say, but that's not the case in Forspoken.

Overall I think that it has at the very least been an 8/10 for me so far, I honestly was nervous about checking this Game out for no reason, those damn grifters.:fist::laugh:

i am sooooooo addicted to Immortals: Fenyx Rising


and i'm also quite good at it, whenever i see a four or more enemies i try sneaking around them


but now with Phosphor at my disposal, i can have her weaken some of my opponents first before i deliver the finishing blows with either my axe or sword



also a funny moment, in one of the vaults of tartarus, certain enemies thought they had me cornered, but i flew or jumped over them, and i was smashing them just enough until they stood on the trap with spikes which kinda helped me getting rid of some bad guys :fan:

AI: The Somnium Files - Nirvana Initiative

Now I really enjoyed the first Game in the series, even the ending works well if it had never came back for a sequel.

But Nirvana Initiative is very much a mixed bag imo, I honestly don't believe that I have ever had such extremely polar opposite reactions towards one Game before.:joker:

These are my pro's & con's with Nirvana Initiative.

Some of my points will lead to spoilers.

Pros:

- Ryuki is a really interesting leading man for the Game, and in my view should've been the actual lead of the entire Game. He also had a good dynamic with Tama imo.

- Date, Boss, Moma, Mama, Pewter, Ota, and Iris were all still good characters when they were used.

- The aesthetic was really good for the Game imo.

- The explosion chapter was the best part of the narrative imo, I honestly don't believe that the Game ever topped that moment.

- Tokiko, Chikara, and Komeji were all interesting new characters for the Game.

- It got a strong emotional response out of me.

Cons:

- Ryuki gets largely sidelined after the explosion chapter, which negatively impacts the Game.

- When Mizuki is leading the Game (whichever Mizuki that you're playing as,) we do just get far too much padding/filler material that's too disconnected from the main plot of the Game.

- Something that both AI: The Somnium Files Games do suffer from for my personal taste, is a Detective Mystery Visual Novel Game that hardly focuses on the main villain, especially considering that they want you to be trying to guess who, how, and why the culprit is doing what they're doing.

It's kind of hard to do that when the villain is barely present in the story.

- Kizuna & Lien's romance is revolting with how cheesy it is imo, and it had so much time devoted to it.

- Kizuna in general just being quite unlikable as a character imo, and highly elitist.

- I don't know if this is the Dub's fault or if it's actually in the script, but two bizarre political elements creep into the Game that have absolutely nothing to do with the case.

1. We have Tama calling people "idiots" if they don't believe that LGBTQ+ is a third gender. So they had her be insulting and factually incorrect.:umm2:

2. Mizuki having a bizarre rant near the end of the Game at the Marble, it was so out of the blue.

Basically this Game had a couple of moments of getting on it's soapbox, something that I hope will be fixed if they get a third Game.

- Mizuki is a decent supporting character, but she doesn't have the gravity to be the lead in my view.

And unfortunately I do think having two Mizuki's who look exactly alike is just really confusing, especially as their personalities are also quite similar to each other.

- Date needs to become the lead again.

- What was the point of Gen?


So overall I would say that it was a mixed bag.

If I were to be honest, I would score the Game between a 5 or 6/10, there's definitely worse Games out there, but there's also a lot better.

for those wondering how i pulled it off


plenty of stimpaks, purified water with me, you'll deffo need those


i activated the protectron, in ''default mode'' it helped me get past the first couple of synths, however it can turn on you, if you attack machine gun turrets or laser turrets so caution advised there


i had a mini nuke with me in the fat man for Kellogg, to bring down his health bar quite a bit


Ada is also the best companion for this quest, the synths and kellogg and turrets all focus on her, if you stay behind her, and then you can assist Ada in taking them out

I’ve managed to complete the first of the trilogy (100% too). It’s a good game tbh but I would’ve preferred more tombs to explore. The challenges got a bit annoying after while, just so time consuming trying to find them all and had to look at guides after a while because some of them were in such stupid places.

The graphics are great and the story in general was pretty decent as well, I’m gonna start Rise Of The Tomb Raider on the weekend.

Tbf Nicky I agree Fort Hagan is one of the hardest parts of FO4 if not THE hardest part, you get sent there way underlevelled.

According to the walkthrough I am about half an hour away from beating it.

I like the story and the platforming, but the last third of the Game just gets excruciatingly annoying imo.

and i could use her breaking and entering skills with her bobby pins, in terms of snooping around in certain important areas to the Institute



as for who i align myself with

probably the Railroad, as i like their cause, freedom for all synths


i am little bit undercover-ish within the Institute and father is stupid enough to make me their leader


whenever they give me the order to eliminate the railroad, i'll betray the institute, and then i'll deal with the brotherhood but those are powerful allies for now to keep around in the commonwealth to keep the peace

disastrous result for me :( i had problems with my car, and when those were solved, i went out in rainy conditions, so i was totally ****** compared to everyone who set solid times on slicks

i q'd as 17th, and Bearman q'd in 16th



the sprint race, not much i was able to pull off in 10 laps, i finished as 15th, and Bearman finished as 14th, first time he finished ahead of me so that should give his confidence a boost i think


Verstappen won (and also fastest lap) with Norris 2nd, Piastri 3rd


Verstappen now only 22 points behind me, but i don't focus too much on the drivers standings for my debut season, as long as i end up top 8 of constructors which is my main goal, with my sponsors

i can understand what those drivers irl must feel like in very wet conditions, i had to start the race on full wets, and still i spun off the track, was able to recover but fell from 10th to 22nd position, so i had a lot of catching up to do towards the rest of the cars

luckily in bad weather, everyone struggles, so i was able to pass 6 of them relatively easy


i went from full wets to inters on lap 13, and in lap 23 i was able to go from inters to hards as everything was dry and sunny then


and in the end, i WON! my 3rd win of the season, first one since Saudi

Vectorman 2 - It's been a fair few years since I've played the first Vectorman Game.

I'm on the final boss at the moment (I'm playing it on the Megadrive bundle,) and it has been really challenging but also really fun.

Regardless of whether I can beat the Game or not, it has been one of my favourite Video Game experiences in awhile.



I also tried a few levels of the first Streets Of Rage on the Megadrive bundle, which was an alright Game, but the controls were just a bit dated for me.

But Vectorman 2 has been really good.

I had been playing Mario Kart World over the couple of days, it was alright imo.

And yesterday I saw my Brother play the very first Phoenix Wright Game (just to go off on a tangent,) and I again do think that it's an alright Game.

I do just believe that I've lost my love for Japanese Media at the moment though, as I just can't get into certain characters and themes as I've got older, compared to when I was younger.

For example to go into spoilers in the first case, Phoenix Wright has help from a woman named Mia (who is the chief at the law firm that Phoenix Wright works for,) and she is between 25-30 years of age, which is still quite young tbf.

She looked like she was going to be an interesting character, she's normally the type of character that I like in fiction personally speaking, but at the start of the second case Mia gets murdered (without going into too many details,) and instead of getting a more mature leading lady in the story, she gets replaced with her Sister who's called Maya.

Maya is about 16-17 years old if I remember the dialogue correctly, but she looks and behaves like a 12 year old, it's typical of the Japanese writers to bizarrely favour kid characters over adult characters, even though adult characters in general are far more interesting to follow.

I've finished playing Cold Fear last night, and I couldn't get past the lasers, barrels, and the invisible monster in that one room.

But despite failing to beat the Game, I still would recommend it for anyone that liked the original Resident Evil 4 back in the day.

It's obviously not as good as Resident Evil 4 imo, but it was still a really good Game if you're open to Survival Horror Games.
