Won't need Falcao if they have Torres and Ba. Torres won't settle for second choice and Ba is probably going to be mainly played out wide as it is
Plus they'll have Lukaku back as back up aswell

Either way, he isn't better than Robin and having Rooney in an XI above him is more than reasonable. Dunno why I would break up a great strike partnership for someone who can score a hat trick and be Messi or miss 5 sitters and be frustrating and useless.

Liverpool are ready to follow up their imminent capture of Daniel Sturridge with a move for Kevin Gameiro, the Paris Saint-Germain forward, as Brendan Rodgers looks to add experience to his attack.
Sturridge is expected to complete his £12 million transfer from Chelsea in the coming days and be registered in time for Liverpool’s FA Cup third-round tie away to Mansfield Town on Sunday. Although that acquisition will eat up the majority of Rodgers’s January transfer budget, the Liverpool manager is still looking to sign Tom Ince from Blackpool on a permanent basis and Gameiro on loan.
Gameiro initially emerged as a possible alternative to Sturridge when that deal stalled but should PSG agree to allow the 25-year-old France striker to leave before the end of the season, Liverpool will look to sign him.
Ince is still expected to return to Liverpool despite a disagreement over his value, with Blackpool holding out for a fee in the region of £6 million. Should a deal not be completed this month, however, Liverpool are prepared to wait until the summer when Ince’s contract expires and his fee would be set by an FA tribunal.
Rodgers is also interested in Nicolas Isimat-Mirin, the 21-year-old Valenciennes centre back. The Liverpool manager would need to generate funds for that, a situation that could lead to the departure of Sebastián Coates, who is interesting Napoli, Juventus and Lazio.
Queens Park Rangers asked Liverpool if they would let Coates go out on loan but that request was rejected and the Uruguay defender will only be allowed to leave if a significant offer is received. Joe Cole is expected to sign for QPR after his hopes of rejoining Lille were dashed.

Looks like we are going to be busy with both ins and outs then. Massive shame about Coates though he is an absolute beast, really don't get why we are letting him go he is going to end up being one of the best CB's in the world in a few years.. On the bright side we should get a decent fee for him.

Really surprised hes not played more, was one of the best players when Uruguay won the Copa America and hes still so young
Locke.
31-12-2012, 10:29 PM
Yeah, I mean it's fine him not being ahead of Agger & Skrtel but he really should be third choice over Carragher. Was expecting him to leave on loan this window really but that article makes it sound like we just want to sell... which we are just going to regret
Drew.
31-12-2012, 10:34 PM
Do liverpool have enough cover to even let him out on loan? i think you can afford to let Cole go but id say thats it, bringing in players is needed more than anything
Locke.
31-12-2012, 10:37 PM
We're fine at CB Kelly and Wisdom are both natural centre backs they just aren't good enough to dislodge Agger and Skrtel yet so are used as back up right backs for the first team
Drew.
31-12-2012, 10:40 PM
Kelly seems like a good attacking full back and Wisdom has no experience, Coates definitely needs to be kept! lol
Locke.
31-12-2012, 10:46 PM
Would probably feel more comfortable starting Kelly at CB than Carragher. As much as I think he's been great at RB he is always getting injured there, hasn't got it in him to have a run of games running up and down the wing
Jamie Murphy going to Sheffield United, great signing for them i have always thought he one of the better players in the SPL outside the Old firm in the last few years

Holland and France have been in disarray for ages, lots of drama going on behind the scenes which has affected their performances on the pitch in general.
Different to England, where we are just not good enough and too overhyped.

I really rate sturridge, when hes had long runs in a team hes been class especially at Bolton, with him Suarez and Sterling up front thats a decent front 3 Liverpool have got
bbfan1991
02-01-2013, 05:23 PM
Daniel Sturridge signing for Liverpool will be a boost for Luis Suarez in a way because for starters he is another Striker, the goals can be shared out and there is less pressure on LS to get all the goals now he has more support, even though he is banging them in this season LOL.
Locke.
02-01-2013, 05:40 PM
Very true Drew.
If you tally all of Sturridge's minutes up (because most of them are sub appearances) he averages out at about 17 goals every 38 games I believe, so hopefully he keeps something similar to that up
Drew.
02-01-2013, 05:51 PM
Yeah i'm sure he will, Liverpool play a formation to his strengths, only negative thing is that Suarez is going to go loopy over Sturridges lack of passing

Tue Dec 18, 2012 4:07 pm
Good news. The Safety Advisory Group (SAG) have agreed to increasing the S Factor to 0.9 for the Liverpool FA Cup game only. However, some seats will have to remain empty as part of the club’s safety plan and so the maximum number of tickets to be sold for the Liverpool game will be 7,888 including the 1,400 Liverpool tickets. SAG have also given the club the go ahead for some additional corporate hospitality.
SAG will be monitoring the Liverpool game and so it will help the club to increase the capacity for the home game against Man Utd in the next round
if as many fans as possible remain seated and do not run on the pitch at the end of the game. It is also important to remain seated to be considerate to elderly and young fans who may not be able to see the game if fans stand up in front of them.
Gates should be open 90 minutes before kick off and so fans should arrive as early as possible to take up their seats and to watch Gerard, Suarez, Reina and Co warming up.
Well done to Paul, Tina, Carolyn and Alan for all their hard work to date.
The most silly thing about that is not that they're presuming they'll beat Liverpool but that Man Utd will beat us

AC Milan did the right thing, the stuff the other club's fans pulled would not fly in the states at all. UEFA should be stepping in by now.
And I see that Blatter continues to be an idiot. I understand his criticism of the MLS but :bored: You have no idea how hard it is to dethrone Baseball and American Style Football. The MLS is way better off than it was years ago and has firmly planted itself in the US.
Also if Blatter does attend a MLS game next year may I suggest Sounders FC or Timbers?
