Pokémon on the far right is called Gogoat (ゴーゴート literally Gohgohto) and is the Riding Pokémon. It's Grass-type, 1.7m and 91.0kg. You can actually ride this Pokémon in the field. It can learn Horn Leech
The lizard appears to be an Electric type, possibly Normal as well, but the name is currently unviewable due to overexposure. It has a new move called BaraboraCharge
The bird is called Yayakoma (ヤヤコマ) and is the Japanese Robin Pokémon. It is Normal/Flying, 0.3m and 1.7kg
The panda is called Yanchamu ( ヤンチャム) and is the Naughty Pokémon. It is Fighting-type, 0.6m and 8.0kg. It has a new move called Parting Remark
There appears to be more including the game's boxarts, and the Pokédex, as well as the region map but it's not completely visible.

The Goat and Panda looks cool, the bird is meh, we get a new basic bird type every gen and this one looks as plain as the rest, I also don't care for the electric type.

I thought the Goat was an evolution to the Grass type deer pokemon from the last generation when I first saw it.

I wouldn't be surprised if the new region is based on France, there's some very obvious influences present in what we've seen so far.

In this picture we can see two bird Pokémon perched on a bush. The smaller one (left) appears to be Yayakoma, the bird on the right however, is larger and has a full orange body instead of a blue-grey. Meaning that it could possibly be the evolution for Yayakoma. Its wings are also white, although the underside of Yayakoma’s wings could also be white. On the extreme left of the picture we can also see a normal Yayakoma for reference. It’s entirely possible that the low quality of these images just makes the Pokémon look a little odd, but we’ve thrown it out there for debate. Hopefully higher quality scans will clarify it all soon!

We investigated the source of the rumors and it appears to be someone attending DigiPen, a college focused on game design in Washington state near Nintendo’s Headquarters. They claim to have played a beta version of the game.

Fairy will be a new type. It is weak to Poison and Steel, immune to Dragon, super effective against Dragon, Dark, and Fighting, and Fire and Psychic-type Pokemon take half damage from it.

Sylveon is Fairy-type. Some older Pokemon will be reclassified to Fairy, such as Mawile (Steel/Fairy).

Mewtwo has two new formes, not just one. Both are activated via items.

The professor’s English name is Patrice. (Although it’s not the name of a tree, it is a masculine French name and sounds kind of like PA-TREE-SS)

The Starter final evolutions are Fire/Psychic, Grass/Fighting, and Water/Dark.

The first Gym is Bug, the second is Fairy, and the fourth is Fighting.

A few attacks will be dual-typed.

There will be a new type of battling style, “Sky Battles”, that Flying-type Pokemon and Pokemon with Levitate can participate in.

You will be able to see a Pokemon’s EVs at a certain in-game facility. You will be able to boost the EVs through mini-games. It will take about two hours to get one stat to max EVs.

Gogoat the Pokémon is called… Gogoat in English. Learns Horn Leech

Erikitel, is known as Helioptile in English. Learns Parabolic Charge, which heals the user for half the damage it deals to enemies.

Lumiose city is the central city of the Kalos region, based on paris. Features an Eiffel tower like structure, little canals and even has 3D models of cars and maps.

You are able to get new outfits at certain points in the game.

It's also super effective against Dark types, the other purpose it serves is to strengthen Poison and Steel types as it's weak against them.

Pancham evolves into Pangoro in the early level 30s. In order to evolve Pancham into Pangoro, you need to have one other Dark-type Pokemon in your party. Pangoro's type is Fighting/Dark.

A Pokemon named Inkay evolves into Malimar. To evolve it, you have to hold your 3DS upside-down when it levels up (the 3DS has an accelerometer and gyroscope, so it can detect that). Malimar's type is Dark/Psychic.

A Psychic-type Pokemon named Espurr (ESP + purr) evolves into Meowstick (Meow + mystic?). (Sounds like Psychic-type cats. Meowstick's name sounds too similar to Meowth to me though.)

Like in B/W you have two rivals - one is friendly and the other is competitive. Your rival that is more friendly gives you his/her fully evolved starter Pokemon after you beat the game.

Another professor named Sycamore gives you either Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle.

Even though it shows the player riding on a Gogoat in the new trailer, players can't ride on their own Pokemon. What was shown is just an alternate way of getting around Lumiose City and it only works with Gogoat.

HMs still exist but there's a lot less of them.

Players will be able to see their Pokemon's EVs (probably through the same in-game facility mentioned in the other post).

Litleo - The hot-blooded Litleo is always ready for a good fight! Its mane blazes with heat during battle, burning hotter and hotter the stronger its opponent.
Flabébé – Clings to a flower early on, and then cares for it for its entire life. Because of this, Flabébé may be found holding flowers of different colors.
Scatterbug - The Bug-type Scatterbug resides mostly in forests and wild plains. After Scatterbug has reached a high enough level, it will evolve into Spewpa.
Spewpa – The middle Pokémon of its evolutionary chain. With enough experience gained from battle, Spewpa will eventually evolve into Vivillon.

It makes sense with the Fairy type being introduced since in the other generations they were typically found later on in the game because of how strong Dragons were, now that they have a more widely found weakness a Part Dragon starter is probably feasible now.

X&Y news has been slow the last couple of weeks :/

For the first time ever in Pokémon history a brand new event has been announced: The Pokémon Game Show! The two day event will be held on August 18 – 17 in Japan, and is free of admission fees.

The scans and our translations can be found below. Remember! These are the Japanese names and it’s almost certain that we’ll get the official English reveal of these Pokémon in a couple of days.

Pokémon Information
Maaiika: “Spin Pokemon”, Dark/Psychic with Contrary or Suction cups. It flashes the lights above its eyes and confuses its opponents.
Kalamenero: the “Turnabout Pokemon”, an Evolution of Maiika. Has the ability Contrary. It knows the move ‘Switch Around’ which flips the stats of the afflicted Pokémon, much like it’s ability.
This may actually work through the 3DS’s gyroscope?

Pokéxperto has posted online some supposed new Pokémon names from X & Y. The list supposedly existed before Swirlix, Spritzee and Inkay were revealed, and as such Pokéxperto believes it provides some credence to the list.
[UPD]: We’ve added translations and name breakdowns below. Please remember to take them with a grain of salt, whether from our list below or from any other source. We’ve tried our best to break down the names and find their origins, but there’s a chance that some are incorrect.

Dianshii (ディアンシー) — Possibly a deer Pokémon. It’s name could come from deer + fancy + antsy.
Hariboogu (ハリボーグ) — Most likely the evolution of Chespin — Hari (ハリ) comes from pin/needle, boogu (ボーグ) or bogue, is the name of the shell of a chestnut is French. Thanks to belmad for this tip-off!
Gekogashira (ゲコガシラ) — Possibly from gecko + boss. Gashira means either head or boss. Possibly a Froakie evolution.

Mafokushii (マフォクシー) — Is possibly an evolution of Fennekin: Mafoxy
Fuupa (フーパ) — fuu (フー) is most likely wind, pa (パ) could be many things.
Gekkouga (ゲッコウガ) — Gekkou (ゲッコウ) means moonlight + ga (ガ) is moth. Literally moonlight moth.

The second eeveelution will definitely be either Steel, Poison or Dragon because when they add two new eeveelotions they always pick two types that are linked by a one sided weakness. Espeon was weak against Umbreon, Leafeon was weak against Glaceon so I think that trend is most likely going to continue here.

I'm betting on either a Dragon or a Poison type, most likely a dragon since it will have synergy themewise to the fairy type Sylveon.

I could see them being a gimmick, especially if you have any interest in playing against other people since the Pokemon has to hold a Mega Stone to transform. Holding a Mega Stone deprives the Pokemon of a Choice Item or leftover ETC.

My guess is that, if all evolved pokemon and pokemon that can't evolve can use a Mega Stone, a lot of them won't change dramatically. Look at Kangaskahn, the only thing that's different is that her baby is out of the pouch.

It was revealed a while ago that you have four different rivals in this game, one is the gender you didn't pick in the start (a la Ruby/Saphire with May and Brendan), there's a fat one, the girl in the pictures (I think) and a competitive more traditional rival.

nice graphics ..i'm still not 100% sold on the mega evos thing.. it almost seems like a cheat because its pretty much guarantied that you'll beat the other Pokemon :/ maybe it wont be activated until you defeat the champion or something

Apparently you can only have one Mega in your team so that will balance things out. I'm guessing there will be other limitations as well.

While the demo is pretty much exactly the same as it was at the Pokémon Game Show, there are a few little bits of new information:

- Professor Sycamore’s first name is Augustine (as a reader has pointed out, we already knew this!)

- You are able to feed your Pokémon Poké Puffs, presumably they are what you give your Pokémon in Pokémon Amie (Pofflé in the Japanese games)

- Upon sending out Pokémon the player seems to have a more friendly, personal tone. Talking directly to the Pokémon as though offering them moral support. “Go on Chespin. I know you can do it!”

- This touch (possibly to make the bond between you and your Pokémon deeper?) carries across most trainer to Pokémon dialogue… when Chespin is low on HP: “Chespin is in a bit of a pinch. It looks like it might cry…”.
