Genesect to debut in movie 16

An early screening of Kyurem and the Sacred Swordman - Keldeo took place in Japan today, as has been the case for Pokemon movies these past few years. And as usual, after the credits finished, a teaser for next year's movie rolled. According to one moviegoer, the teaser showed some kind of "flying saucer" hovering over a wasteland and changing into Genesect! Not that there was any doubt Genesect would be featured in the 16th movie as the last fifth generation Pokemon to be revealed, but still exciting nonetheless! Hopefully we'll see the teaser online within the next few weeks and Genesect's official revealing soon after.

Team Rocket have their own radio show in Japan.. ;s

Animate.tv announced today that the first episode of Pokémon Radio Show! Team Rocket's Secret Empire, will be available on their site Monday, July 2nd. The program will premiere this Sunday at 7:00pm on InterFM 76.1 Tokyo (76.5 Yokohama), however only those living in the Kanto region of Japan will be able to listen live. Thanks to Animate.tv, people worldwide will be able to visit their site and listen to the show every Monday. iPhone and Android users can also go to their mobile page and listen to the program. Unfortunately, only the previous day's episode will be on their website. A complete archive of every episode will not be kept.

The radio show was an idea of Megumi Hayashibara (voice of Jessie in the Japanese version). It was later officially pitched by sound director Masafumi Mima (who is the writer of both the tweets and radio show) a year and a half ago. On June 1 the Pokémon Radio Twitter was launched, and hype for the show began. Bulbapedia has translations of all the tweets thus far.

The show will be about the Team Rocket trio attempting to recruit all 7 billion people of the Earth to join Team Rocket. Each episode will also have a segment where a Pokémon specialist will be interviewed. The first episode will feature Ikue Ohtani (the voice of Pikachu) due to her knowing a lot about Pikachu.

The official Pokemon website has updated with details shown in Corocoro about Genesect. Along with this came a picture and a few sentences announcing that the Pokemon movie for next year will, indeed, star Genesect.

A trailer is supposedly shown after Sacred Swordsman that gives us a look on what the movie will look like for next year, but no details other than the fact that Genesect is in it has risen yet.

B&W Soundtrack to be released July 25th

The official Japanese Pokémon website has revealed the release date for the soundtrack of Pokémon Black and White Versions 2. The 4-disc soundtrack will be released July 25, 2012.

The soundtrack also includes music from Pokémon Black and White Versions, Pokémon Platinum Version, and Pokémon Emerald Version.

I'm not really sure what its about but heres a brief description...

Story: To save the Ransei region from Nobunaga, a powerful Warlord who is trying to take over Ransei, players must conquer different kingdoms to strengthen and grow their own kingdom. There are 17 kingdoms in total to conquer. Conquering all 17 kingdoms and ultimately uniting the kingdom will awaken the Legendary Pokémon and save the land from destruction. Story mode is organized by episodes. Players unlock episodes as they progress and each episode features a different playable Warlord and victory conditions.

Army Mechanics: Players can grow their army by recruiting defeated Warlords and their Pokémon. After a kingdom is conquered, players will also have access to the kingdom facilities such as training grounds, shops to buy items and mines for money. Players can also strengthen their army by linking with Pokémon. Warlords can have various linked Pokémon and switch between them before battle to strategically prepare for the type of battle they are about to engage in.

Battle Mechanics: Players will encounter a wide range of battlefields as they progress through the game. Each of the 17 kingdoms has a different type-themed battlefield. For example kingdom Ignis is fire-themed and has lava flows, lava beds and fire spouts for players to battle around. Strategically using water-type Pokémon to navigate through this battlefield will help players conquer this kingdom. Additionally, players can use the kingdom training grounds to train their army or find wild Pokémon and link with them. After battling with a Warlord, the game automatically registers them. Using the built-in local wireless connection on the Nintendo DS, players can battle with friends who also own the game with their registered armies.

Warlords and Pokémon: Each Warlord has a special ability that can change the tide of battle. For example, Warlord Oichi has the ability to heal all the Pokémon in your army. Warlords also have types much like Pokémon. This will determine how well they link to particular Pokémon. Some Warlords will have the ability to choose from several different kinds of Pokémon to link with.

today it will have been 5 years since the international release of Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl and the introduction of the 4th Generation of Pokemon! (In Japan, they were released sept 2006 so its nearly 6 years tbh)

Here is some of the things Generation 4 gave us...


FACTS:-
- The first Pokemon from Generation 4 to be revealed was Munchlax, who debuted in the 7th movie, Destiney Deoxys.
- The second Pokemon to be revealed was Bonsly, who appeared in the Gamecube game, Pokemon XD: Gale Of Darkness as well as the 8th movie, Lucario & The Mystery Of Mew.
- The third to be revealed was Mime Jr., who also appeared in the 8th movie as well as in the 9th series of the anime.
- Diamonds & Pearl were the lowest selling Pokemon games on release to date.
- This Generation gave us the first female champion, Cynthia.
- It was the first Generation to give us two female admins for the evil organisation, Mars & Jupiter.
- This Gen gave us 107 brand new Pokemon, bringing the total to 493.
- This Gen introduced 113 brand new moves, including Stealth Rock, Grass Knot, Ominous Wind & Brine.
- This Gen introduced 47 new abilities and could also now have 2 abilities instead of 1.
- This Gen introduced 4 new Elite Four members and 8 new Gym Leaders.
- For the first time since Generation 2, there was now a 'time of day' (day, dusk, night, dawn)
- This Gen also introduced Physical and Special moves, this lead to the introduction of Special Attack & Special Defence.
- Pokemon Contests were carried on from Gen 3.
- Gen 4 introduced the most evolutions of Pokemon from past Generations than any other. These included Electabuzz, Magmar, Togetic, Yanma, Gligar, Tangela, Lickitung, Rhydon, Magneton, Snorunt, Piloswine, Snorlax, Sudowoodo, Misdreavus, Murkrow, Eevee, Aipom, Roselia, Chimecho, Dusclops, Sneasel, Nosepass, Porygon2, Kirlia, Mr.Mime & Chansey.
- Players could now run inside buildings.
- The Underground was introduced so players could dig up treasures such as evolutionary stones.
- Poffins were introduced.
- Some Pokemon now had 2 sprites, one for the male & one for the female.
- This Gen saw the remake of Gold & Silver (Heartgold & Soulsilver).
- This Gen is the only one where the player can explore 3 regions (Sinnoh, Johto & Kanto).
- Gen 4 is the first Generation that Level 1 Pokemon are obtainable.
- This has been the longest Generation so far (it lasted 10 days short of 4 years, 2006-2010)

Today, the fifth Pokemon movie, Pokemon Heroes, celebrates its 10 year anniversary!

The film was released in Japan on 26th July 2002 and internationally on 16th May 2003.

The movie is set in a city based on Venice, Italy. The city is watched over by Latios & Latias who are known as the city's guardians. To cut a long story short, 2 Team Rocket members try to control the power of the 2 Pokemon so that they can control the city and possibly the world. This causes a tidal wave that can only be stopped by Latios & Latias and anyone whos seen the film will know it has a sad ending :(

It was also the last ever Pokemon film that Misty appeared in!

Although it's one of my favourite Pokemon films, the film recieved negative critique and due to bad sales, became the last Pokemon film to air in US cinema's.

Released November 21st 2002, Ruby & Sapphire introduced 135 new Pokemon as well as new characters, new anime and a new region.

This also marked the beginning of Generation 3 of the Pokemon franchise which introduced spin off games such as Pokemon Colosseum, Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Pokemon Dash, Pokemon Channel and Pokemon Ranger.

Hopefully the announcement of the inevitable remakes of R/S/E will be soon! but for now lets remember the best of Gen 3 :love:

The Official Pokémon Youtube Channel has just released a short new trailer regarding the new red “ExtremeSpeed” Genesect. The trailer features both a red Genesect and a normal coloured one flying through a city, with the red Genesect causing damage to the citys buildings. The narrator of the trailer goes on to say that “the 300 million year mystery [of Genesect] hidden under it’s red veil will be revealed!”

Corocoro leaks have release information pertaining to the next Pokemon movie due out in Japan on the 13th of July, 2013.

*Genesect will be available as a present alongside the movie from the 11th of January through till the 10th of February at the Pokémon Centres around Japan for Black/White and Black/White 2. There seems to be limited stock, so those who get in first have a higher chance of recieving it.
*Furthermore, you can download Groudon for Pokemon Black 2 and Kyogre for Pokémon White 2 from the Official Japanese Pokémon site from the 10th of January. More information is to come regarding this, so be sure to check on the website.
*The movie features a Red Genesect called; ‘Extremespeed Genesect’. Possibly alluding to the downloaded Genesect having the move: Extremespeed . ‘Extremespeed Genesect’ is also the current title of the movie. This is most likely to change in the future. The leaks also show a form that allows Genesect to fly.
*Attached to the Corocoro Magazine is a small short featuring Pikachu labelled ‘Pikachu & Eevee Friends’.

Earlier today in Japan, at the end of a BW2 trailer, a new teaser was shown stating that the next big announcement in the world of Pokemon will happen on January 8th, 2013. There’s absolutely no hints or clues that tell us what it could possibly be about; It could be anything from a new main game reveal, to a new, lame WiFi event.

There are watches being released to promote the 16th Pokémon movie, Extremespeed Genesect, and one watch is completely greyed out. This could suggest that there’s simply an existing Pokémon which will be revealed later or could mean that Genesect has an alternate form. Or even that the very first Generation 6 Pokémon is coming. It’s all speculation right now.

The way I'd do it is that you ban all legendaries being used as well as items and when you apply for the tournament you list the six pokemon that you're gonna use throughout, the matches would be 3v3 and would be played through the DS/3DS online modes. I'm pretty sure when you play against another person online all your pokemon levels are set to 50 so you wouldn't have to have a bunch of Level 100's to win.

It's a bit rough but like i said it's only a thought.

Ninfia or Sylveon is the first of two Eevee evolutions to be introduced in Pokemon X and Y. Much like Umbreon in Gen II was one of the first known Dark type pokemon, Nympheon of Gen VI is one of the first Light type pokemon. Much like the Dark, Psychic, Fighting and the Grass, Water, Fire trinities, Light pokemon complete a trinity with Dragon and Steel types. As when Magnemite and Magneton retroactively had Steel added to their types, most of the Fairy egg group will have Light added as a secondary type, such as Chansey, Audino, and Clefairy.

The latest issue of CoroCoro has now leaked online. While the issue doesn’t contain huge amounts of information it does confirm that the Pokémon revealed last weekend is in fact a forme of Mewtwo.
