It makes sense, with Nintendo Direct covering games to be released all the way through to 2022, Pokemon's absence was noticeable.

There was two separate leaks last year about two different collections, one was leaked by GAME's website and it was a pair of collections with Pokemon Blue/Red, Gold/Silver and Ruby/Sapphire while the other was by a supposed leaker who leaked collections of X/Y, Sun/Moon and the Gen 3 remakes. If the reveal takes the form of a Pokemon Direct, I think we'll probably get the confirmation of the first collection as well.

There was a tweet from the Pokemon twitter of the Sinnoh starters with the caption 'Let's go, Sinnoh' a day or two ago, I believe. I don't think it's a hint that the Sinnoh remake will be a Let's Go game though. At least I hope not, it deserves a proper remake before it gets the Let's Go treatment.

I did read rumours yesterday though that they'll announce Let's Go, Johto along with the Sinnoh remakes although I'm doubtful, Snap is coming soon and there's only really the November slot left and I think that will go to the Sinnoh remake. It makes sense that Johto is the next Let's Go game but unless they're dropping it in the summer, it doesn't make sense to announce it now.

I'd be here for Let's Go Johto, but Sinnoh deserves a real remake.

I did enjoy Let's Go a lot and that game actually innovated the formula quite a bit for Sw/Sh when you consider the move away from random encounters, the ability to access the PC anywhere and even making the higher level gameplay mechanics like IV/EV management more approachable.

I'm so disappointed.

The whole point of the remakes is that they remake the old games with the current gen's sensibilities. FR/LG was based on R/S, HG/SS was built upon D/P's engine and advances, and it's the same story with OR/AS which was built upon X/Y. Giving us the same game we played in 2007 with an uglier art style is just.... Ugh. It's just a step back in every way and it looks like a throwaway afterthought of a game which is insulting given that people have wanted the D/P remakes for a long time.

As for the Legends game, I was so bitterly disappointed by the D/P reveal that I couldn't really force myself to care at all. It looks quite bland.
