I'm thinking that scene between Sharif and Sonya was already filmed but wasn't supposed to be the "reveal" and then they decided to shoot the part of her being sat in the other room overhearing it and spliced it together?

I know they said they already filmed the affair reveal but the sequence of scenes felt very choppy and rushed. So maybe they've changed it.

Especially when Alya came home and immediately asked her what was wrong before even stepping foot into the room.

I was dreading her return but I think it works when they write a semi-serious story for her and then let the natural comedy flow from her bad acting and the campy set ups.

It gets annoying when they try to do comedy and Helen Flanagan knows she has a funny line and delivers it completely flat.
