That's great we finally know the launch date, but really surprised with a Friday launch, but over the moon about it been on a Friday, it may feel like old times when it used launch on a Friday.

It won't be used constantly between then and now, it'll just dual function as a start date thread (the purpose of which it has almost already fulfilled) for the next few days, then the launch thread in two weeks. CBB11's launch thread on DS was started a lot earlier but worked fine (start date was only discussed for about 2 days and pages, thread then died off till the day).

The first episode of MPD last series officially averaged 1.45m (must have got around 1.2m overnight). Somehow, I don't think it will be that much of a problem. BB should beat it. The competition on the Friday are the repeats of Miranda and MBB which get over 4m for repeats.

Very difficult to predict these two ratings, depends how the Thursday will rate until we can predict the Friday Part 2 launch. My random prediction...

Thursday Part 1- 3.1m (should benefit from weak competition)
Friday Part 2- 2.4m (stronger competition)

Launch Night 1 - 7 females and 3 men entered the house. The women had to guess the guy's secrets.

Launch Night 2 - The remaining 4 men entered the house.

In week 2, the men then had to guess the women's secrets.

I think the 2 launches is the two different houses. I can't think of anything else. Maybe 8 enter in house 1 and 8 in house 2. Then the twists begin in the 2nd launch.

True about the Saturday first HL show but it's good as it will only be a recap of Launch #2 and not the first proper day for everyone, because that would make people lose interest early on maybe.

Brian was definitely the reason the C5 launches have felt like they've dragged, even the shorter than they were on C4 evictions have felt too long with him hosting. It'll be interesting to see, assuming half are going in each night, how much of the show is them going in and how much of it is launch twist / task related.

The housemates would immediately know there was a second house if there are only 8 of them in there. Unless you mean a second house that isn't kept a secret.

I hope so. I can't help but feel like the only way for the trailer to make any real impact is if it's aired on other channels. Lets be fair, C5 isn't exactly the most watched channel on earth.

I may have only been a member of the forum a week or so, but I've lurked for the past few years on here and I can honestly say, I've never seen as much anticipation on the forum before.

Of course, there's anticipation before the launch of every series, but I think this year, everyone is just dying to see what is going to happen, everyone is highly anticipating the start of the series.

C5 may not have released a lot all at once, which might be cheesed some people off - me included - I thought we were never going to start getting official word from C5 but they have been clever, the build-up has been amazing so far. I just hope the series doesn't flop.

I think it's fair to say the people on this forum are getting very excited, this by no means equates to the wider world getting excited. Realistically i doubt hardly anyone is getting excited, in terms of how popular the show is now as opposed to the start of the previous decade. Just my 2 cents...............

People outside the forum are getting excited too. The comments on Digital Spy (the main forum), people are saying "I will try watching it because it sounds promising". My friends have been speaking about it on Twitter and Facebook.
