Hello and welcome to Only Connect, the quiz that does away with all the frivolities like "questions" and "prizes". Yes, what we care about here is the most fundamental concept of quizzing: Inspiration from complete confusion.
"But how do you play Only Connect?" I hear you cry. Well my friends, it is rather simple. The game is split into 4 rounds which will be explained as we go, but the only thing that varies from the rules of the actual show (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Only_Connect) is this: Give a correct answer, you score the points and they go to the great OC leaderboard. Person with the most points at the end wins.
We begin with round one: Connections.
In this first round, you will be given up to 4 clues and you must find what connects them. Clues will be given periodically, but this can be done more quickly if you ask "Next clue". 5 points will be scored if you get it with one clue, 3 for two clues, 2 for three clues, and 1 point for all four clues. Example:
Clue 1 - A hammer and feather
Clue 2 - Six US flags
Clue 3 - Eugene Shoemaker's ashes
Clue 4 - Two golf balls
All items left on the Moon.
The first clue will be posted in the next post, good luck to everyone.

I'm thinking they're DVD Chapter titles of one of the films I said... I'm gonna go with Rocky Horror :suspect: only seen it once though
I'm going to give this because it's about as close as you could get without getting it, and you mentioned Rocky Horror by name:
http://i.imgur.com/cGKN5ZD.png
When seeing the movie live, people will wear party hats during the appropriate scenes, shout "Let there be lips" at the beginning, fling toast at the screen when people say "A toast to..." and anybody who is seeing the show for the first time has to mark their head with a "V" as they are a "Rocky Horror Virgin". So two points to Shaun there I do believe.

You got it!
http://i.imgur.com/DC7Ucts.png
You heard "Live & Let Die" which Weird Al covered as "Chicken Pot Pie", although it was only ever performed live as he couldn't get the rights to record it.
"Like a Virgin" becomes "Like a Surgeon"
and "Beat It", the giveaway, becomes "Eat It", one of his most famous songs.
You would've heard "Ridin' Dirty" by Chamillionaire which was "White & Nerdy" by Weird Al, one of his more recent hits. But, you didn't need to, 2 points, very well done.

Is it 'Go to Jail'. Im thinking its the corner points in Monopoly.
http://i.imgur.com/40l6jf6.png
Very well done indeed there, not much explanation, "Go" is the first corner and you travel around each corner it's "Jail" then "Free Parking" and finally "Go to Jail". Three points, very well done.
Here is the first clue of your next sequence:

In "The Hunger Games", each district produces a different good or service for The Capital. District 9 hunts, district 10 deals with Livestock, district 11 is crops, and I was looking for "Coal" or mining, which is district 12's good. Katniss is the book is from District 12, if you remember (provided you've read/seen it). So, no points there.
Here is a sequence which is a bit less obscure:

EDIT: Welp, messed that one up, apparently District 9's produce is "Grain", so that was buggered completely. Apologies all around!

[You will have to forgive me on this, the number of moons for Jupiter and Saturn vary from source to source, so I went with the numbers I found that were most consistent.]
We are looking at the planet's relative to their distance from the sun (So Saturn is the 6th planet from the sun) and how many moons they have. Saturn and Jupiter have tons and tons (such as Ganymede, Titan, Io and Callisto), but the giveaway here is once you pass the Kuiper Belt and get to Mars, it only has the two (Phobos and Deimos), then the 3rd planet from the sun is our own, which has the one moon. So, two points to Marc.

Yes you are looking at descriptions of the dream-levels of Inception going "deeper" starting from the Van Chase level, which I believe is level 1, occuring after the first kick. Well done Shaun, 2 points.
So, we enter round 3, The Connecting Wall. Here you will see a grid of 16 clues, which are to be sorted into four groups of four. You must give a group with it's connection to receive 2 points, and anyone who successfully finds a group will also receive a bonus point when the wall is solved. The first of two walls will be coming up shortly, get ready :)
