I hate emailing. My adviser told me that he'd send me stuff on Tuesday or Wednesday after our meeting and told me that the onus was on me to keep in contact with him to ask him questions or send him work; so today rolls around and I'm like right okay he still hasn't sent me this email, I'll just drop him one to ask if he could send me it when he gets a chance...
So I carefully word it because I don't want to sound like I'm impatient or being annoying and he replies immediately saying "I've been busy all week with teaching, I was going to send you it this afternoon" so I'm like cringing into my hands and don't reply, thinking I'll just reply thank you very much I'm really grateful when he sends it this afternoon... it's now 8pm and he still hasn't sent me anything. So now I don't want to email him again until he emails me because I feel so damn awkward about it and I can't tell if he was irritated by my email or if he was just stating that he's been busy and will send it to me as soon as he can. ARGH!

This is the same guy who I have a friend in common with and keep having awkward encounters with, I'm permanently falling into cringe spirals :joker:
..oh, I didn't realise it was THAT person..:laugh:...what you did by emailing was fine and what most people would do and if he does forget again then it's ok to email in again in a few days ago because that's probably what you would do anyway and you're only feeling awkward and self-conscious because of what your friend said..?...but I don't think there is any need to because he probably doesn't feel at all akward and you want to be able to communicate with him about uni stuff without overthinking it...honestly, he is probably just a scatter brain or has had a busy week, so try not to think or worry about it..

Alot of forums I lurk on as well have a bar at the top saying they know I use adblock and I should donate money because they are losing the ad revenue which funds the site Lol

So my flatmates and I are insanely messy, that's fine. However, they keep moaning to me about how they always end up eating crap food because the kitchens too messy to prepare a decent meal, even though I'm the only one who really cleans. Over the past two months I'm the only person whose cleaned the kitchen single-handedly (which is NOT a simple job when living with these slobs, lemme tell ya), so I've been asking them for the last 2 weeks to clean the kitchen, they didn't do it. Not even a dish. I half-cleaned the kitchen last night and asked if they could do the rest today. I come back, they hadn't cleaned anything, all they've done is got high and used almost every ****ing dish that I've cleaned. I literally walked into the kitchen straight from work, looked at it and shouted "What the ****?!" Now they think I'm being petty and ignoring me because they think I'm making a big deal out of nothing when I'm literally spending all my time either at work or cleaning and I'm cleaning for their sake while they're making me out to be the villain in the situation. So ****ing angry.

..awww..:hug:..I know it's no help to you James, but I think these are the general incompatibilities that people often find when they share a space together, which is quite an intense thing to do and even for people in relationships/who love each other..kind of adapting to the other person..?..and them to your ways etc...it's annoying I know, I think all you can do is try to talk to them about it and how you feel, which you probably have already...I think beyond that, all you can do is try to concentrate on or remember all of the good things about them/the fun things/good qualities etc and hopefully they will outweigh the annoyances, which are understandable...I think for me, when irt comes to stuff like this..(general annoyances with people who I otherwise like..)..I just kind of reassess my thoughts and decide if good qualities/nice things overrule the annoying ones..and if they don't, then I tend to walk away...not that you can do that, I know because you've committed to a rental agreement etc...so all you can do is talk to them about how you feel and hopefully they'll see that living together means consideration above anything else...
..life in the big world sometimes sucks..:hug:...
..I wouldn't charge much if you want a cleaner..:amazed:...oh, and you still owe me a coffee btw, I'll be calling in for that sometime soon and that place better be tidy..:laugh:....
Can you lock your room? Would it be possible to just keep clean plates, cutlery etc in your room where they don't have access to them and then at least that way they can't take the easy option and just use the stuff you've cleaned? Doesn't solve the problem of cleaning the communal areas but maybe they'll be more inclined to do it if you stop being their personal cleaner

I understand that parents get stressed and it's not only the mothers and that these parents have to deal with their kids all the time and they can be annoying..but I hate when I see/hear a mum shouting at their kid in the street in an aggressive manner

Me too Nathan.. I screech like a banshee at my kids whilst in the house, but I keep calm(ish) whilst in public.
I remember seeing a horrible woman screaming at her little boy and punctuating her foul mouthed rant by slapping him about the head!! It's a horrible thing to hear/see.

I was about to ask if you've got work later but it's the half term, duh...
..I think the February half term is my least favourite one because I never really have any plans for it and it just floats by and then you feel as though you've lost it...(I know what I'm talking about anyway..:laugh:..)..but I might be going out for lunch later, I'm not sure yet...

There is 2 light switches for the light our middle hall, one after you walk in the front door to the first hall just before the second hall door and then another at the end of the middle hall, anyway.....who ever installed the switches messed up somehow and even when the light is off it means one of the switches always looks as if it's set to on, and it does my head in :fist:

..the most stupid thing as well with the roads that I use is that they're really narrow and winding and hard to overtake so they built a cycle lane running by the side to make it safe but a lot of cyclists don't use it and still use the road which is unsafe for them..:fist:...

so i've got some romanian guy that's come to my place once or twice to fix the roof. he's here right now. whilst we're waiting for plaster to dry we casually chat about likes dislikes, and i don't even know how chat got to sex. he mentioned he can't live without sex and he asked me if i like and what positions. he said he liked to lick women and asked me if I want to try. i shouldn't have giggled at first because when he kept asking and i kept saying no he wasn't taking my no's seriously. but finally i told him to stop because he is making me uncomfortable. well hopefully she sees it that way as well. But let's face it, if this show does well it will bring him famous connections. If it does well it might get nominated for an emmy or something, like james corben. And he's a nice looking guy so those famous US floosies might come-a-flocking.

no they have to come back another time to put paint because it was not dry yet.
Basically my roof caved in because there was a leak in the flat above so it has been ongoing repairs since mid june.

Hall stairs and landing and lounge Ammi.....when I bought the house I was 7 months pregnant so we did everything in a rush in time for Matthew but its now looking a little tired.....it seemed a good idea yesterday lol.....now it just seems a lot of work. Although I must say its easier going up and down ladders without a huge belly :laugh:

..yeah I think a lot of people decorate when they're pregnant though..it's that 'nesting' thing..I usually start to think about decorating and stuff toward the end of the summer/September time when the season is changing and you're thinking of indoor stuff more..then I stop thinking about it until the following September...that circle works out quite well for me and puts it all off indefinitely...
