..I was really tired earlier when I came home from work and have been all week but I stupidly feel really awake now, which is annoying because I have lots to do tomorrow and could probably do with an early night...

..I'm organised-ish...but I haven't got small children..what about you..is everything wrapped and hidden away, are they excited..?...I know they're not really little but you know what I mean, it's still exciting for them...

My nephew didn't believe last year, when he was 7 and this year he's all into it again, I think he badly wants to believe, but he knows deep down that his mother buys the presents, Christmas is still magic for him even though he doesn't believe santa is actually real, it still feels special for him and he still talks about "santa" and wasn't ashamed to get his picture taken with him either. :joker:

.....I often think with things like that, that it can be misunderstandings/not communicating things etc...and then maybe the other person getting irritated because of something being said/done or not being done..?...but then maybe because they feel irritated by it, they don't communicate that well and then it all kind of annoys everyone....and really it's impossible for people, especially when they get older, to all live in the same house and not get irritated/annoyed and sometimes it's just because of how they themselves are feeling as well and having a lot to think about/stressed etc..but then it's then communication thing because they're mind is too active thinking about the things they have to do, to communicate properly maybe..?...it's always interesting to talk to each other a bit later and you both understand where the other one is coming from and it's good because it gives you an understanding of how things made them feel etc....

..anyway, that was a long post...but if we never had irritations/annoyances with our families and a balance to how much we love them then we would be so extreme with out love, we would have to be committed to a 'happy place'....which has hot and cold electricity/shocks....

....I think that's quite 'normal; in families as well though Jemal...that time when it feels as though there's no understanding between parent/children at all...I think it's just the 'pulling away'/independence/growing up type thing of a child and having their own opinions/views/ways of doing things etc which may conflict with the parent...we all go through that ourselves...both as a child and a parent eventually..and it's what we should do as well because we're us and not an 'extension' of our parents...I know it's not easy and frustrating/annoying..but maybe try to remember that there is great love between you as well..?..and I'm sure that she knows what a great son you are and you know what a great mum she is....

I have a scar on my hand where he taped my hand to the radiator and turned it on, then made me tell my mum I burnt it on the cooker so I got in trouble because I wasn't allowed to use the cooker :laugh: He got away with everything because he was the golden boy....everyone thinks he is the best...I know the truth though

..wow. that's pretty heavy stuff, Annie..the radiator thing...and spookily I had a really bad burn from one of my brothers as well but that was an accident/unintentional....hmmm, it's interesting though isn't it that you felt he was the 'favourite'...yet he can't have felt like that himself because if he did and was quite secure in that, then why would he be mean to/hurt you..?..somehow, he must have felt very insecure/threatened by you in some way..?...so he can't have felt 'favoured' at all..?...hmmmm...

..I always think that Christmas Eve would be a good day to work and a happy time..but maybe that's because I don't work it lol...I'm fairly much ready but I have a few things to get today at the shops and I'm going to cook a ham for the carnivores to eat on Boxing Day/make some mince pies/sausage rolls etc...not very exciting lol...a bit of a 'doing' day...this is where it all comes together and becomes a Christmas, I guess...

Yeah it's so much more personal...I'm a great baker, as long as it comes in a packet :laugh: we just love the decorating bit the most...I say we, I mean Matthew. I'm not too keen on cleaning the kitchen after he's finished but oh well...

..haha, yeah I know what you mean...you just have to go with it and think, it's only a kitchen and I can get it back to looking ok for the sum of £6758989 when the fun is over...baking with the boys is one of the things I miss most but I still do sometimes bake with the girlfriends and it often ends in food fights and silliness and a very messy kitchen...it's a smiley mess though...
