..oh, I didn't realise it wasn't an actual movie, that's probably why I've never been able to find it..maybe it was a take on Angels with Dirty Faces, the James Cagney movie...when we first watched Home Alone and the boys were quite young, I would say that to them..Merry Christmas ya filthy animal...and they just stared blankly at me...lol....they do that a lot, actually..I might suggest they have there eyes checked, they might have a problem that makes them stare....

..it's so funny to watch someone reversing at the wrong angle and keep pulling forward a bit and reversing again and it goes on like that..forward/back and you can see that no matter how many times they do that, it's never going to work because the angle is wrong...sometimes they'll keep doing it for around 5/10 minutes and then just drive on and not park lol....

I had a really awful one where I was being forced to take groups of Scandinavian sailors up to a GP to get injections because they were going to Morocco next and I managed to smack my wing mirror against the wing mirror of another car and I didn't even realise at first, I heard the noise and was like aw ****, and then the guy in the front seat put the window down and pushed my mirror back out because it had been knocked in and I hadn't even realised. Mortified.

I do line the back of the car up but I just never get the angle right; and it's worse when it's a completely open space because I never seem to get it right with absolutely no reference whatsoever. I keep saying to my parents "can we go out and practise parallel parking" and they think it's one of my weird jokes and don't take me seriously at all and then when I push it they're like "you've passed your test, you don't need help" ?!?!?!?!?!!!

...aww, it isn't actually that bad at all, it's actually quite easy if you back up parallel to the car you're going to park next to but people sometimes get the angle wrong and if they do that then I think it's best just to back up parallel again and start again because otherwise it can be awkward to correct it...

..I think it's actually quite ughhhh/shocking how much is spent on it..I'm probably quite guilty of that myself as well, though....but things like food/eating..I was looking at all the stuff on the staffroom table yesterday/all the stuff that the parents/children give us...and I felt it was kind of 'sinful' to have that much food that you don't even need..not that it isn't lovely and thoughtful but people could do stuff for people who need it instead..do you know what I mean..?..

Yeah i get you. I try not to think about that personally because i cant make a difference to someone else's life that might need the food i eat on Christmas more than me. Its probably the only time of the year when there's family and friends around and everyone's generally really happy so its nice, but it does make you feel selfish.. i do try not to think about it though without trying to be selfish..

I know where Drew's coming from actually, Christmas Eve and Boxing Day are like Christmas for me as well, mainly because where my grandparents on my dads side are Jewish so we celebrate Christmas with my dads side of the family, the day itself is with my mum and her side of the family and the day after is spent with some of my step-mums side of the family.. I love it, three days of presents and food :love:
