Jemal
26-01-2014, 11:10 AM
I think rafa deserves alot of credit.
He cud of easily of retired and wawrinka in the history books would look like an novice winner.
But rafa is a great sportsman and carried on.

I think rafa deserves alot of credit.
He cud of easily of retired and wawrinka in the history books would look like an novice winner.
But rafa is a great sportsman and carried on.
It's a shame Wawrinka couldn't have celebrated as much as he wanted
What is it with these low key celebrations.. I would be going mental especially winning a first grand slam
I reckon had Nadal been healthy he would have **** himself and cried
Such a bizarre thing to read: Wawrinka and Li Na win the Aus Open... no Nadal/Djokovic or Serena/Azarenka/Sharapova.. mental
Both Aus Open winners will go to world No.3
Drew.
26-01-2014, 11:13 AM
Had this been Wimbledon Li Na and Stan would have started a riot with celebrations. Wimbledon >>>

has to be said it's very sad seeing the lack of belief nadal has in his own game. The fact he is waiting for a player 5 years past his prime to make errors to win points even though he is at the top of his powers and physical prime is overly embarrassing and tells me a lot about what rafa thinks of his own talent levels or lack of them
that said i have a funny feeling stan going to do him in. Unlike roger the moonballing won't work vs stah who has one of the best back hands in the game (even though it's a shbh) and rafa himself has played at a level even poorer then usual for him. if he had faced del boy or djoko at any point bagels would have been freshly delivered
i am the one neo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Drew.

26-01-2014, 11:31 AM
PMSL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rafa IS ALWAYS INURED WHEN HE IS LOSING was not a bit surprised when the trainer came out as usual Rafa tried to put the player of his rhythm with plan B after plan A of moonballing and time wasting did not work
Today was not just a good result for Stan it was a result for tennis a big F U to the pushers

Only seven male Grand Slam champions in this era then, one of the lowest of all-time.
Federer: 17 (2003-2012)
Nadal: 13 (2005-2013)
Djokovic: 6 (2008-2013)
Murray: 2 (2012-2013)
Hewitt: 2 (2001-2002)
Del Potro: 1 (2009)
Wawrinka: 1 (2014)

Pretty close now between Vika, Aga and Sharapova in the rankings, as it stands there are within 400 points of each other so if Aga wins she goes to #3 I think

Disappointing week for my faves lol. Li should have had her 3rd title of the year wrapped up already seeming as Serena is awol. NVM. And I shouldn't expect much from DelPo atm.
womens ranking shouls be something like Serena, Li, Radwanska, Azarenka, Sharapova, Kvitova, Jankovic, Kerber, Errani, Halep
Genie and Pironkova survive early qualies scares
Decent draw for Dubai/Womens:
Williams / BYE
Kleybanova / Makarova

19-03-2014, 12:37 PM
Murray splits with Ivan Lendl by mutual consent, didn't really see that one coming
Thought he would have gone the rest of his career with him, ever since Lendl joined the team he has molded Murray into a copy of himself back in the 80s and he went onto win 8 Slams, can see Lendl coaching a french player, the massive goal of making one of them win a slam for the first time since Noah might be tempting

Maria hit every down the line forehand possible near enough but Aga's balls were there to be hit every time, Halep ( even though she got beat by Kuznetsova yesterday) or Serena for RG, Vika is unnatural on clay its like watching Bambi on ice and Maria unless she gets a lucky run and faces Errani in the final again will get destroyed by Li Na/Serena

Great Britain's Dan Evans was beaten in the first round of qualifying for the French Open in Paris.
Evans, 23, the British number two, lost 6-2 6-1 to Portugal's Gastao Elias, who is 187th in the world rankings.
Davis Cup team-mate James Ward, 27, claimed a 6-3 7-5 victory against Radu Albot of Moldova to set up a tie with American Ryan Harrison.
Dan Cox, 23, also advanced into the second qualifying round, beating Israel's Amir Weintraub 6-2 6-1.
Just think of all those points Vika can make up next year.
