You mean the European Juniors? Tbh I didn't really pay attention to the champs that much outside of the GB athletes but from Finland there were quite a few track medals as opposed to the usual field medals you'd expect. Sam Purola could be a future star for Finland in the 100m (silver medallist) and 200m (bronze medallist)
If you want to see whereabouts your countries teams individuals are ranked going into the world championships then you can look here:

Hope that was helpful!

Thanks, it was :)
Hopefully Purola can make it and make him flourish when he comes to the seniors level. In terms of results perspective and being successful in a non-traditional Finnish Athletics Event, he seems like a rare talent.
In terms of others, i like what i see what some of the long jumpers are doing. And Wilma Murto in Women“s Pole Vault.

The target is 6 to 8 but I feel that's way too optimistic
I say 3 to 5 is more realistic although I honestly won't be shocked if Mo gives us our only two medals.

Yeah 8 is too much. Unless they are relying on the relays to deliver some bronze.
Thiam is 1/14 odds on, I wouldn't say she merits that price, for sure she is favourite but thats ridiculous

Yep Bolt is only doing the 100 and 4x100 relay, Van Niekerk is favourite to do the 200/400 double, especially with De Grasse now injured.
KJT has a chance at medalling but she'll need to PB again to make the podium or for the other girls to have bad day/s. Thiam is unbeatable at the moment, scored the third highest Hep score ever a few months ago, so unless she No Marks/DQs in an event or gets injured, no ones beating her.
At a push I'd say Kat could win bronze but her throws are still diabolical
I'm gonna have a bet on Mo and Van Niekerk to do the double in their events, but I want 1 outsider to go with it to boost my bet. Any suggestions of a non favourite who stands a good chance at winning their event?

Well I got a bet on Catser Semenya at 7/1 to win the 1500m
https://www.oddschecker.com/athletics/womens-world-championships/womens-1500m/winner
Also managed to get a bet on world leader Liljiao Gong in the Women's Shot Put at 3/1 but she's now at 2/1 (still think she'll win though, consistently throws 20m+ which will be enough)

She looked great in the heats but faded in the semis and only got through as a fastest loser. She's the World Record holder though, the current reigning world champion and Olympic silver medallist.
She's very unpredictable which is why I don't know whether to risk it, I already got a tenner on Semenya at 7/1 and she looks favourite to win it now and is now at 2/1.
I'll probably make a last minute impulse decision before the race starts
