I think day 1 was most hard for her. Her mother goes to all her work related appointments with her and this being the first must have been hard. She was even teart eyed talking about her mother to carol. But shes made her bed space quite homey, i'm sure those who are fans of Shilpa from before spotted the pictures of her and her sister.
But she seems ok at the moment, just need for her to mingle with some more people.

I am not asian just a huge fan of big brother. I think Shilpa is a very stunning looking lady and I am intrigued with her ...not many people are stunning and have a nice personality on these shows. I also think she is interesting to have in the house because she is different not because she is asian more because she is a bollywood star and that is all new to me.

I am a big fan of the clothes she wears and her glam side aswell but thats not just a new thing I think all the clothes are glitz are stunning. For someone who is stated on websites as a "home bird" I think she is doing brilliant interacting with all the housemates...to an extent though I am wary of her niceness and think that her flirty nice personality could be the start of her playing the game or she is genuinely just a really nice person. Not that there is anything wrong with playing the game ...I am just shocked at her being stunning looking and have a stunning personality because you do not see that often these days.

I thought the other way. I thought Dirk was flirting with her. He brought up Gandhi, he mentioned the latest Indian film he saw, heck he even brought her suitcase for her too LOL oh and he went up to help her open her luggage.
The flicking of her hair is nothing new, she has been doing that forever LOL... In all her interviews her hands are constantly moving her hair around.
And wanting to come on CBB doesn't always mean about re-inventing yourself or expanding your fanbase, it could be the experience or it could be the money. She has said it plenty of times, that she is happy with Bollywood and the fame she has.
Bollywood is a more bigger industry than the British film industry and Hollywood.
The Moulan Rouge was inspiration from an indian film. A indian song has got selected as the theme to start off American basketball. We have Ashwarya Rai doing films with Micheal Douglas and Colin Firth. We have Sushmita Sen doing Karma Confessions and Holy with Naomi Campbell, and Robert De Niros daughter, Drena Di Niro, and another film with Richard Gere. Shakira asked an Indian choregrapher to direct her recent tour. Nelly furtado came to India and did a show with Bollywood actors. These are all examples to say, Bollywood doesn't need to go out anymore and do invites, the tables have turned.

I really haven't seen herself look like she is into herself. Being an actress, her face and body are worth alot to her career, and if maintenance of that makes her look arrogant, then so be it. No one else in the house has to bother to keep their face in good condition, coz if I may say so, they are all nobodies right now. She is the only real star in the house, doesn't matter that she isn't a British Celeb, she still is one. And straight after her stint in CBB she has shooting to commence.

Her Bollywood fans know she is fun filled, just hope they give her enough time to come out of her shell and show it to those who need to see it.

Champagne, I agree with you. No one here is suggesting Shilpa is THE main lady of Bollywood. There are alot more succesful actresses than her, but those are only commercial actresses, Shilpa started off there but has slowly moved to critical and art movies.
However, the up herself bit, thats something cleverly being edited out by BB and we all know how clever the BB people are when they want to make somone look vain, bitchy, friendly etc And i'm sure they also told Shilpa to up her status, because she has never bigged herself up prior to this.

Shilpa seems really at ease now in the house.


Today she was cooking chicken for everyone, and near the kitchen the boys were sitting, and they were all saying stuff about Shilpa. I think Leo started it off by saying she has a lovely figure and that she was stunning and he said some stuff like, she should be in a Bond movie, somoneones got to snap you up. When Shilpa and H were making breakfast H gave her a kiss on the cheek, which I thought was sweet. I have to say on Day 1 Shilpa wasn't all out there. Day 2 she was ok. Day 3 I felt she reverted back to being quite. Day 4, this is the best i've seen her.

It was a beautiful morning and Shilpa was up as early as 7 am. The other early risers were Leo Sayer and Ian Watkins. Slowly, one by one, they all got up and made their way to the kitchen for their morning tea.

Shilpa started the morning chores by making a breakfast of omlettes and toast for her housemates. They were thrilled to see this Indian beauty from Bollywood cook so well. Shilpa proved the anchor Davina wrong who had asked Shilpa (during her red carpet entry) if she'd miss her entourage in the house. Shilpa, being an Indian girl, proved that she could.

Leo, Ian,and Carole helped Shilpa in the kitchen.

Shilpa seems to be enjoying herself in the house. She asked Jermaine Jackson (brother of Michael Jackson) and Jo on why the housemates are not being given any task by Big Brother.

Shilpa has been getting along well with most of the housemates and they seem to like her very much. But as is the norm of the show, slowly this friendship is going to turn to a lot of bitching in the days to come. To give a small start to this, I saw Cleo Rukkus sitting in the lawn and bitching about Shilpa to Carole and Danielle.

They read the newspapers before they entered the house and discovered that "this Bollywood girl has been paid 300000 pounds for participating in Big Brother."

They could not believe it, as Shilpa is the highest paid celebrity in Big Brother 2007.

As I heard them say this, I thought - Why not our Shilpa is a Star!

Now let me have some fun watching Big Brother while you keep waiting till I get back to you as the house starts to warm up.

Has anyone else noticed the backlash against Shilpa?

Jealous women are sounding off all over the place saying derogatory things about Shilpa, when there is barely any reason in the world to put her down.

The 'best' one Ive heard is that Shilpa's a 'STUCK UP TART'!!!

Who do these people think theyre kiddin? I can tell them for free that they are only kidding themselves. Shilpa is a worldwide success but still manages to stay down to earth and carry herself with dignity and humility. I for one am very impressed and inspired by her, and theres not many women i say that about.

With all the housemates back in the main House, new friendships and alliances are already starting to form. Having been separated for four days, Shilpa and Ian made up for lost time snuggling up together in the garden. Well, that was until Jackiey ruined their private party.

"It's nice to have peace and quiet," Ian said, burying his head in Shilpa's shoulder.

"I'm dreading Jackiey coming out. If she comes in this area, I am running away!" Shilpa said.

"I'm fascinated by her," Ian smiled.

"One part of me loves her, but by the time it's night I've had enough," Shilpa sighed. "I like her until the afternoon, but that's as much as I can take."

"I've not spent a whole day with her," Ian reasoned.

"Welcome to my world! Do you see what I see?" Shilpa asked him.

"I can see what you see..." Ian started to sing in his best musical voice. And then the new friends shared some precious moments - Ian sang songs from the stage and in return Shilpa sang to him in Hindi. "That was lovely," Ian cooed.

But their tender encounter was quickly shattered when Jackiey marched out of nowhere, ranting: "I'm right up to the elbow. I need food!"

Hmm, still fascinated Ian?

Leona, have you realized, all the haters on this forum give Shilpa as much attention as her fans do and within the house, the bitchers give her so much importance in their life and that too without her having given them any real reasons.
Shilpa really is the centre of attention - On the forum, In the house and within the Media. She's really popular isn't she. And as it says in Charmings sigs "Idolized or Dispized, Either Way I'm getting Recognized.

Now I feel that Shilpa shouldn't have come on BB, she's the only one I consider a star along with Jermaine and Ken. She has beauty, brains, a true personality and isn't insecure. The rest are some cheap C list celebs. She's ruining her star status by associating herself with all of them. I agree with her that, that's not her scene, she's too big compared to the rest to be on the show.
