Horrible result. Horrible winner. AFP was the only good result. I regret even bothering this season.

I'm surprised Vanessa didn't break down on the stage saying how rotten it all was. Steve probably wasn't incentivized to do that in her mind.

Liz deserved to win over Ian.

Steve

And no she didnt, she was nothing but a lapdog for Vanessa and Austin and had no real strategic thought herself. Steve at least planned what he was doing to survive. Liz winning would have been an embarrassment for the show.

was Steve anything other than a Vanessa lapdog?

Superfan winner.
And like last year, the top 3 of AFP were all auditionees/fans and not recruits.

Very pleased. :)

DISGUSTING result. We could have had an aggressive female strategist win but instead we got a male who spent half the game throwing comps and generally being Vanessa's lapdog.

Only two women have won BB since Grodner took over, and both of their wins were rigged

At least James won AFP

Hated Vanessa, wanted her to win out of the last 3 but was still glad to see her comeuppance
Steve winning is a much better result in my mind than Liz anyway. She failed those jury questions in spectacular fashion. And yeah, agree Vanessa's vote was pretty bitter, Steve's game overall was better than Liz. Vanessa still robbed though.

I'm so glad I stopped watching, the result was beyond tragic.

Vanessa really thinks Liz whoring herself all summer is a good representation of Big Brother 17?

In other words she was bitter because Steve got her out.

That's nice. The fact that your sig says "Alislut" shows it all really. Steve is horrible too, with the fake winners cry and having a dig at Jason yet again, but what can you do?

I would have preferred Vanessa to have won over Liz and Steve but Liz to have won over Steve. I agree that Liz should've prepared better question answers and a better speech but she literally didn't think she would make final 2. I think she was just happy for getting second place and 50k. As sweet as it was seeing Vanessa evicted, she worked her ass off and deserved to win if she had won that final HoH. I do believe Steve won because he evicted Vanessa, I also believe if Liz had won the HoH and evicted Vanessa then Liz would've won. Evicting Vanessa was snatching the trophy.

AFP was a great result, so glad James beat Johm because he was a much better player. I'm glad it's over I'm literally all bb'd out, after tonight's Celebrity final I'll be glad to have a break until January when the whole 9 months of UK, Can and USA starts over again.

So happy for Steve! He did the smart thing and evicted Vanessa when he needed too. He gave a great speech owned his game and righfully won. Liz's answers were historically bad and she definitely deserved to lose. Vanessa casting a bitter vote at the end made me even more okay with her losing. I was hoping John would have won afp and I was hoping Shelli would get third but James did need the money more so that's okay I guess.

Why are people saying that Steve deserved to win over Liz? I get that her jury speech was pretty much "I'm me, I'm GinaMarie" but I think she was more shocked than anything bc she thought she was gonna get third. I wish someone could've ghostwritten her jury speech because I definitely think she played a better game to get to the end. She had to navigate people knowing about the twin twist, and then despite the fact that she was the kingpin of the closest alliance ever, she went ELEVEN WEEKS without being nominated after PoV. And even though she should've definitely been the one to take out bc then Austin and Julia wouldn't have a common bond, she was somehow the lone survivor of her group. I don't know, I think Liz and Steve were similar in that they were mid-low tier members of their alliance, but Steve was just an appendage while the Sixth Sense was entirely centered around Liz and Julia. Steve kept talking about how he did all these things but it's just white boy revisionism. Liz should've just mentioned something about Austin's Angels to shut his **** down and show that the Scamper Squad was literally just tighter suballiance plus Steve.

I really think you're seeing an imaginary game that you seem to think Liz played Macie!
She pretty much admitted (by her complete lack of being able to say what it was, if anything, she actually did for herself!) that she was a passenger on the games of several other players!
I didn't like Steve very much during the Season but it would have been absolutely ridiculous and a travesty if Liz had been voted the winner over him. Austin and Julia's votes were inevitable, totally undertandable and set-in-stone all along but Vanessa voting for Liz was nothing but spite and bitterness! So very, very glad she didn't win.

But if people are willing to let her be a passenger and not take her out then she definitely did a stellar job at forming bonds with the right people. She didn't win any comps after the second DE and by all means she should have been the first boot from Austwins, but instead ended up in a F3 scenario where she was guaranteed F2.

And if we need "moves," Liz was the main person to convince Vanessa to not backdoor Austin Week 5 (a move which really should have destroyed Vanessa's game; Shelli and Clay handling the situation even worse than Vanessa was the only reason Vanessa got away from that week without much blame), she was able to convince people to get rid of Julia instead of her in F6 even though it obviously should have been Liz, it was Liz's relationship with Vanessa that saved her from being the F5 boot and got Austin out instead.

I'm not saying she was a mastermind by any means, but she had a really strong social game within her alliance (hell, the Sixth Sense was literally formed to save her) and she formed all the bonds she needed to go very deep into the game. I definitely would've thrown a vote at her instead of Steve's white boy revisionism about things he thinks he did but really had no involvement in.

I am happy for Steve he made the correct move and evicted Vanessa at the end. It was the correct move and won him the game. Is he the best winner ever? Certainly not but he was way better than the person he was sitting next to and that's what it takes to win. I find any argument that Liz should have won just silly and as bitter as Vanessa's jury vote.

re: Vanessa's vote, she said prior to the finale that she respected Liz's game more anyway, and she worked closely with both of them so it makes sense. All Steve did was ask clarifying questions and make Vanessa repeat herself so I get why she didn't see much game from his end. Liz was a key part in Vanessa's alliances while Steve was just an annoying appendage.

Who cares if it's a recruit or a superfan or what? :conf: The hardcore superfans are usually the worst houseguests anyway.

And I love how my post got deleted when I was speaking logic. Saying Liz is useless and a lapdog, when you're faves and who you think deserved to win is Steve and Johnny Whack then it's just invalid.

I honestly think Liz would've been a pretty deserving winner for a lot of the reasons pointed out. However, she doesn't express/explain herself well so there's no way anyone outside of her alliance could've voted for her.

There's definitely some aspects that came down to luck or just following Austin's lead but the same could be said for Steve / following Vanessa's lead. With that said, Steve was a pretty deserving winner too. Not the greatest but he did his thing to get there and explained himself very well so good for him.

I'm happy for Steve, not much of a fan tho but he isn't a bad winner but he is underrated
